True, only they're trying to push Gus Johnson down our throats. I'm not so sure I can stomach Champions League, Fox Soccer coverage, and the World Cup with him at the helm. He has the wrong tone and intonation for the sport. His best work is with the NFL and college basketball. Soccer simply doesn't suit him.
Maybe with Beckham gone, MLS wants someone who can bring a crowd to games and keep up media interest while it tries to grow the league.
It's gonna grow as more kids start to play it seriously, and get better (which is inevitable IMO).
Yeah I hope so. I coach both of my daughter's teams and the amount of training offered by the C.S.A to us grassroots coaches is awesome. Canada Soccer is trying to get all coaches across the country on to the same program so in the future we can have teams and players that can actually compete on the world stage. I would assume US Soccer is doing the same. It can only be a good thing for MLS for the future.
