Doesn't really matter though, because we have chosen not to keep up with the pace of improvement elsewhere. We might have a strong start relative to ourselves, but we're looking like Europa League fodder. Our choice though.
At least we can say we won the Tottenham Hotspur Half Decade Cup

Fucking does matter

sorry mate i have to call bollocks on this one...

that win against Madrid came on the back of two defeats (one at home to WH ffs), and in the following 5 games we lost to Woolwich and leicester and drew with watford and and west brom. a solitory win 1-0 (late) v palace made it a dismal spell, domestically at least. Not sure what you were watching but that was not a spell in which we looked like contenders in any way.

Imagine if we did win the league with a record points total after going the season unbeaten...

"That stupid prick Poch still picked Sissoko AND he misplaced one of his passes! Fucking shambles Tottenham!"

I am enjoying the ride with Poch and at least we know that this squad will never give up, unlike other greedy bastards who are just playing for themselves!

'ave this!

8 points better off than this time last year and still 5/6 points off top. Very pleasing points total but frustrating as hell.

Very frustrating.

But then we could ask ourselves whether City and/or Liverpools form is actually sustainable? By our standards, we're doing exceptionally well, better then we've ever done in the league but what we're doing isn't ground breaking in total. Our points total wouldn't have seen us top at almost any stage in previous years but Liverpool and Man City's stats are on almost a different level to some teams of the past. One of them, if not both, will falter at some stage. Likely Liverpool considering City last season.
