Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I have a feeling that Mike Dean was going to be heavily watched in this game (for good reason) so VAR backed him up in regards to penalty decisions.

Much like him gobbing off and Poch asking he repeat it to the cameras. Decision: Poch banned and fined.

Only Mike Dean could NOT have given that penalty which even gooner Alan Smith said it was! Then Sky (Woolwich TV) had their studio "experts" agree with Dean except for Robbie Kean. They failed to see that the Newcastle defender "fell" with his arm arcoss Harry Kane. VAR isn't going to embarass Dean by over-ruling him, but Dean should never be in charge of a Spurs game again.
And Poch disgraced himself again for failing to stick up for his team getting robbed!

Why wouldn't 'VAR' overrule Dean? It has overruled a lot of other refs...

Souness and Lescott were pathetic on sky if that was given they would have said it was a stonewaller, if it wasn't given pre VAR they would have said it was a stonewaller and analysed the refs position etc, in the age of VAR they second guess themselves and look for reasons why VAR was right and even manage to convince themselves.

It would have made him look very anti-Spurs which he is. VAR ref was Anthony Taylor who decided to back Dean even though the replays clearly showed it was a pen. Alan Smith (as did the world) saw those replays and it looked so clear he said "That's a penalty!" That was from a gooner.
So why wasn't it given?
Because Sky are Woolwich TV and they pay the money for the EPL. If you are Woolwich TV you are anti-Tottenham. The press go along with it as they always do so we have crappy refereeing but mainly for Spurs, while Woolwich & Chelsea can dive all day and get tons of free kicks to help them win.

You're seriously over reaching there.

We cannot blame the defeat on VAR, but Dean shouldn't be in charge of Spurs games. He clearly wants to show that he isn't a Spurs fan. That particular bullshit rumour has cost us a lot.

Trouble is whilst removing him from all of our fixtures to avoid accusations of bias it would then create a precedent for every other club to be treated in the same manner. Selecting referees for specific games would look like the CL draw. Woolwich vs Spurs ...the ref can only be drawn from pots 2,4,or 6 :roflmao:
