They spent (reported) £36m which is way less than half of £100m+ on Anderson.

Well, we don't choose our club. It's in our blood. Our club chooses us. And some fans show their passion differently to others
So it’s wrong to use the total agreed figure of £42 million because it’s subject to clauses being met but you are perfectly happy to use the £100 million spend figure despite it using the aforementioned sum? Right oh but hey let’s not get hung up on that right?
As for spending the rest of shite, prior to signing Anderson they broke their transfer record for Diop who was excellent against us and has been one their best players this season. Those two account for over half of that figue and they have already seen a return on that investment in terms of performers so far.
And besides why are you focusing just on their summer activity? The point at hand is about the quality of a clubs squad and the value that will illicit. We have one of the best squads in the league which is why it is valued as one of the highest in Europe. I take it you don’t believe this then? That the likes of Kane, Ali, Eriksen, Son to name a few are not actually worth the fees that they would attract?
West Ham don’t have a valued squad - it’s why they had to spend the sums they did last summer and it’s fairly obvious to most that this has enhanced them both in terms of talent and value.
I suppose you could compare a whole league campaign to 12 games into a new one. A fairer comparison - which is what everyone does on this forum with us - is to compare where they were this time last season to where they are at this stage. To give you a heads up they were 18 th which in turns places then in the relegation zone - now they are 13th so they you go. But hey good try - keep it up.
