£5 million could be used for something else

He just doesn’t need it so channel it elsewhere in parts of the game that need it

There is no £5m ... it will come from donations from EPL club chairmen to Scudamore ... doesn't belong to the EPL or the FA so how are they supposed to channel it anywhere?

Alan Sugar loved the idea that we were one of the 'top' clubs when we rarely lived up to the name. He pushed the narrative of the past constantly, showing clips of the double winning team on the big screens, and then moaning about how the fans were living in the past.

Sorry I disagree with this Sugar would constantly tell us fans that we were no longer a big club and should get used to it.

He oversaw the downsizing of the stadium 47k to 36k

Nearly every TV or radio show or live game had some ex player from another team arguing we were no longer a big club in the 90s

That's kind of my point, he loved 'the idea' of us being a big club and all the financial benefits that brought.

AVB not a happy bunny with Levy and the board.

Former Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas accuses the club’s board of ‘destroying everything’ he had created

The Portuguese was Spurs boss from July 2012 to December 2013 and he didn't hold back when asked about his time at White Hart Lane with Italian media

Andre Villas-Boas has launched a scathing attack on Tottenham’s board, claiming they “destroyed everything” he and his coaching staff created during his time at the club.

The Portuguese was appointed Spurs boss in July 2012 and had a positive first season before his reign came to an end in December 2013, boasting a record of 45 wins from his 80 games in charge.

Yea. I'm not really sure AVB "built" anything.
If he meant players, we still have Eriksen and Lamela from his original purchases.
Not sure what he is complaining about...

Fucking hell...don’t tell John Thomas John Thomas

I'm cool.......

The guys had no steady jobs since Spurs - his last gig as a manager n China ended last November so he's been out of work for a year.

How else is he going to earn 'a crust' except by giving a controversial interview !

The more rubbish he spouts the more he gets paid. Its really that simple

With that in mind its easier to read the link, and recognise its a self justification which keeps him in the headlines and might lead to another job !

By destroyed everything, he means sold Bale.

It’s been estimated that he will receive £5 million over the three years that he will act as an adviser

Ok each chairman should put the amount that they’re going to donate into grass roots football in their Clubs area
£250k being talked about

Agree 100% Bazali ... if that was an option it should be taken ... but as you know it isn't ...

To be fair to many EPL clubs they put far more than £250k into grass roots football, the issue a lot of clubs have (certainly we do) is that money given to the FA has gone on a million other things rather than the grass roots, we would much rather do it directly, with all the PR that brings, than sponsor the FA to waste it ...

That says a lot about how poor the FA is at looking after our national sport ...

Bit off topic, as of course Scudamore is EPL not FA ... maybe the EPL should get involved in grass roots? far better though if the FA were to get itself fit for purpose .....
