If think the main thing I found interesting when reading that is how two sides of a story can form such drastic feelings about the powers that be.

One things for sure though, £30 away tickets will definitely get sold at a higher price and that coiciding with the price those actually attending pay means the club miss out on two fronts. I can definitely see why the club would think it's a bad idea if that email leak is in fact a real one
Would that affect Spurs though? Because surely the money we pay for an away ticket goes to that club, not to Spurs. So it would only affect Spurs if Man Utd, Liverpool etc fans were buying the away tickets and flogging them, which may well also be true (probably true for the elite clubs and not for the smaller clubs). My understanding was that Spurs buy a load of tickets off e.g. Burnley, and then sell them to us. That's why they would sometimes ask for a lower allocation for cup games (when we were shitter than we are now) in case we didn't sell them, and they occasionally miscalculated e.g. cup games at Old Trafford any yid knew we'd sell out but Spurs didn't always ask for the full allocation.

Sorry if I'm being thick here!

If people can forgive Danny Rose so easily, I don't see why we cannot do the same for Levy.

Is where we are now not enough recompense?
Ha that's funny, as I don't forgive Rose either, only sung his name once since what he said and it was by mistake, got caught up in the moment and unconsciously started joining in with everyone else after some great tackle or something, my mate hit me!

So, the answer, for me no. But I see football along tribal lines which are geographical. And I accept that whilst this is important for most fans, for many it is not as important as it is for me.

Took me a long time to forgive Rose. I'm there now.

Tbh I think most people's forgiving of Rose is fickle i.e. based on his improved form. I don't think he'd get much support if going through a bad patch whereas other players would (and rightly so), at least from the majority, there will always be some fans who start moaning about a player or even abusing them the moment they have a bad game.

Not all fans were against him. Some definitely took exception to the article and thought he had deliberately stabbed Poch in the back and disrespected the club, some were undecided and others backed him.

At the time I thought he was wrong / stupid for doing the interview in the first place. But it was obvious that what was published was the narative the journalist wanted to portray. The journalist wouldnt have turned on his tape recorder and said ‘tell me Danny whats on your mind’. Instead he would have asked a range of leading questions, eg ‘you clearly enjoy your football here at Spurs, but being a northern lad would you like to play and live in the north nearer your friends / family’. To a question like that the journalist can get the response they want. If you thats far fetched listen to the trap questions you here at press conferences or consider how the media are always trying to manufacture stories about player x,y & z looking to leave.

The acid test of whether Rose intentionally backstabbed Poch or disrespected the club was Poch’s reaction. If he had he would have been frozen out.

I hope you and others can change your opinion on Rose. Everyone makes mistakes, but he has done far, far more good than harm.

I wouldn't say the forgiveness has been down to form because he's hardly recreated his best form this season, rather the fact he's shown commitment to the cause and has given his all - that's what most fans what to see. He was given the chance to buckle up or leave, so as a fan I will support him. I don't really care that some journo took advantage of his frustration and poor mental state after a long injury for a cheap article in that rag, he only said what a lot of fans say themselves about signings and wages... His uncle committed suicide and there was a shooting in his family home, that's a lot of shit to deal with, on top of his unhappiness over the way his injury was treated and seeing the team do well while he was stuck on the sidelines.

We criticise players for being overly media trained and conservative with comments, and the second a player breaks away from that they get slagged off.

I thought he was a wrong un from before that.
- He was in the away end at Chelsea when we lost 4-0 under Sherwood, I'm not sure what was said but he pissed off a load of yids and had to be escorted out.
- At Sunderland one year, 2-2 draw (Dembele brilliant is what I remember mostly, I think it was in Poch's first season though could be wrong) he made a point of applauding all sides of the stadium, and not coming over to us. Every other Spurs player came over.
- Newcastle 5-1 game, he got drunk with his Sunderland mates before the game and was benched. Despicable attitude for a game that not enough players took seriously, it meant finishing above the scum and finishing second in the league.

I think he hasn't liked us (the fans) for a long time and IIRC some of the comments he made in that article reflected that.

Yes it's true there would have been leading questions but he knows the drill, it's not like he was 18 when the questions were asked, you've got to be careful what you say. You don't see other players e.g. Toby saying stuff like that. There is a way to leave respectfully, if you want to leave.

I disagree about Poch, he did freeze him out initially but has reintroduced other players who have upset him given time and them showing the right attitude in training, e.g. Sissoko, Toby.

All IMO of course, you're entitled to your view. But I'd bet you anything most of our support would go off him again if he started playing badly.

I can't be arsed dredging out the comments I just remember that I felt he was disrespectful. Plus the other things I mention (see my other post). You're entitled to your view. It's a fair point you make at the end about media training.

He hasn't exactly recreated his best form, but he looks pretty good, I'd say the main thing that is different is he has not regained the pace from before the injury (which is admittedly a key part of his game). He's been our best left-back this season, and that's clear if you look at the games Poch picks him for. If Davies had been ahead of him I don't think so many people would have sung his name.

It reminds me of when Modric wanted to go Chelsea. That to me was a massive no-no, I never sang his name after that. In the following season there was one game where it felt like everyone was singing his name except me. And then he left anyway and people disliked him again. It's totally contingent on the way they are playing or what they are doing at the time. Totally fickle. I'm not saying you are that way with Rose, but most fans.

I feel that's a bit different and a case of a player thinking they are better than the club, Rose frustrations lay in the club's lack of desire to 'push on' as it were.

Rose used to be an arsehole, and the fans weren't exactly giving him an easy ride but that's 5 years ago now so whatever.

I know you go to most away games and understand why you want the price to be low and certainly they should not rip off away fans. However perhaps Levy does not like the idea that Spurs have to sell tickets to Woolwich's etc away fans at a lower price than a similar ticket to Spurs fans. Surely the price should be the same. As a season ticket holder You still have to buy tickets for individual matches and do you not think it unfair that you are paying more for a ticket at home than an away supporter?
