This deal seems pretty much done now. So hopefully no last minute problems with contract negotiations we can say welcome to Spurs!

No Premier League player misplaced more passes last season than Kieran Trippier (625). Graziano Pellè next on 423.

Not very #Spursy of you, we are supposed to get really excited about the player only to be crushingly disappointed when it doesn't work out.

I think it would take Walker about five seasons to manage 91 accurate crosses. Hopefully Trippier will offer a good plan B (or A) down the right side.

Does a cross count as a pass? Would him putting balls into the box which go untouched/cleared count as a misplaced pass?

Trying to put a positive spin on it.

As said previously, even if he just puts a bit of pressure on Walker to pull his head out of his arse and become the player he once was then he's worth every penny.

I did read that he was directly more responsible for goals conceded than any other player, although what the grounds for that piece of information are, I don't know.

I watched a fair bit of Burnley when in the Championship as well as last season, he was a stand out player.

Not a busy thread, but the best I could find for fans reactions to Trippier leaving.

Also, from a popular Burnley blog, his end of season reviews of the players.

RB – Kieran Trippier (B+)

A truly gifted player and up to Premier League standard, many consider Kieran a future right back for England. Does very well defensively and has improved in his defensive duties this season. A massive threat bombing forward on the wing and pinging in balls from the run of play or on set pieces. Provider for many of Burnley’s goals and scoring opportunities and ranks high among defenders in the league’s Player Performance Index week in and week out as well. While Kieran is a local lad and under a longer-term contract, the Clarets will have to fend off the wolves this summer to retain his services for a return to the Football League.
