Owls next manager widely believed to be Steve Bruce who will bring with him as a coach, Stephen Clemence, late of this parish, who has been spotted at the Sheffield Wednesday match today, so story seems to have legs.

Problem of course is that Bruce was manager at Villa on Onomah's last loan, and played him everywhere (including as striker) but never at centre midfield,

RECALL NOW!!!!1

:dier:

Would like to agree - Spurs could certainly do with extra CM cover.

But the 21 year old has made about 30 appearances (including about 5 starts) for Spurs from 2015 onwards, mainly being played as a right sided AM rather than the CM position he always played in youth football, without impressing being played out of position. As he's been loaned out last season and this season I wonder if Poch has already made up his mind and he'll be moved on in the summer unless Onomah has an exceptional 2nd half of the summer somewhere.

Given Bruce's management style at Aston Villa last season, Onomah's dilemma is whether he needs to move in January away from Sheffield Wednesday to showcase his skills for a permanent move in the summer.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has dumped Onomah, who has made 32 appearances for Tottenham, into the club’s under-23s.
Onomah, 22, has been stunned by Pochettino’s decision to be moved away from the first-team and will leave this summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach, Mainz, Augsburg and Frankfurt have all shown an interest, as the demand increases in Germany for young Premier League stars.

Shame he hasn’t progressed but Poch has probably seen enough

Also explains why he was so reluctant to pull him back off loan last season.

Even resorted to playing Rose in midfield rather than contemplating Onomah.

For what it's work, I think he was worth taking a punt on. Only 22 he looked a world beater when part of the England U20s.

Oh well, in our manager we trust.

He’s 4 months younger than Ndombele and about a year younger than Winks.
And has just failed to impress in the a Sheffield team while Winks has been running CL games.

I think Poch made his choice when spending whatever he spent on Tanguy tbh.

A typical scenario of a bigger lad bullying smaller kids when younger but found out as others develop physically.

He probably needs to adjust his game slightly and good luck to him.

Can't remember the game but Josh had a good chance to score with a header a yard out. He missed. It was like the Sterling chance v 'Pool.

Hope he takes his chance. Maybe his last.
