Impossible.

JJ, Trix, Breezer, Hercules. They would have let us know. Nothing gets past that lot.

€31m may not be cheap...but certainly seems so in the current market and in January.
Sounds like this one has been on our 'potential buys' list for a while now, and we've gotten lucky with PSV being a bit of a mess this season (even compared to us).

If this serendipitous signing makes the difference between CL and no CL qualification it would be hilarious.

Steven Bergwijn is going to Tottenham Hotspur for more than 30 million euros. Below the line a nice deal, which might have included more for PSV. Nevertheless a lot of money and a nice step for the self-trained player. There was no turning back after Sunday, after which the ratio prevailed.

PSV takes 32 million euros for Bergwijn transfer to Tottenham Hotspur
The deal between Tottenham Hotspur and PSV on Steven Bergwijn provides the Eindhoven club with a total of around 32 million euros. A fixed transfer premium of 30 million euros is paid and 2 million euros in bonuses to be paid out almost certainly. The deal came late last night.
Bergwijn has been playing at PSV since 2011 and before that he was active at Ajax. The people of Amsterdam are still entitled to part of the transfer money, due to the internationally applicable solidarity rules. In total it is 150,000 euros and that is half a percent of the total transfer amount.

At PSV, the ratio has prevailed in recent days, after a somewhat complicated Sunday around Bergwijn. He did not want to play against FC Twente, then took a phone call with Ernest Faber as a license to arrange a transfer to Tottenham and was actually banned from flying to England from the management. In the meantime, the worst cold is out of the air. When all formalities have been completed, Bergwijn is a fast player in Tottenham Hotspur.
