Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just checked. I'm up to 54. Must had added a couple and forgot about them.

Testing, testing.

Thing is, we've had darker days... we all know we have.

Problem is that Sky's new brand of Premier League football has you believe the league is over if your not top in October.... and all the fallout/ckickbait from irate fans is mere money in the pocket for the websites.... they WANT us to be angry in October 'cos we're not top.... and both team AND fans are obliging willingly!

Athens, Leicester and Brighton away.
Stand full (not Athens) of yids - can’t beat it.

New stadium south stand “white wall of noise” guy next to us gets to his seat just as the teams are coming out and promptly sits down, gets his mobile out and scrolls through it. Everyone else is standing. 6 minutes into the game he hasn’t looked up.

If away games are MUCH better than the experience of the new stadium I think long term it’s gonna be hard.

stewards been given orders - I think the powers that be are changing football.
I’ve been going to the lane dince1981 but I fear for my son as he has experienced great days and knows the change isn’t good. (We still think the park lane/shelf side chant against Fiorentina was a real highlight in recent years).

No, I haven't had enough... I can never have enough.... 'cos it's Spurs... and I'll always love the club...

But fuck me they make it hard to like them sometimes!

At times like this, I think of them like that brat of a child that you're stuck with - unconditional love!

It’s odd but moments like this really reinforce my love for Tottenham. Jol’s tragic demise, the Ramos affair, Harry’s collapse, AVB’s dour shite, the Sherwood shambles... oh and the two decades leading up to all of that... I love backing the club and being around proper fans when we’re in a rough patch. Then you also get to really enjoy the transition back to success too. I’m also liking the confused expression on plastic football fans at work when I make it clear that I’m a proud Lillywhite despite whatever results are going on.

Different situation, confidence and belief will be well nigh unbreakable after winning the CL.

Us on the other hand...

Norwich, Newcastle, Sheff Utd, Southampton, Leicester have all rattled them (I forget who else they've played)... Conceeded 5 in the CL already... They haven't looked that good tbh; certainly not as strong at the back.

All I can say is I hope you're wrong. :)

Liverpool were always going to win it this year imo, the CL win has given them the confidence they needed to go on and believe they can win the PL, I used to hate them as a club but honestly I kind of just feel indifferent to it all now, I have given up caring quite frankly after what's happening to us.

i still hate them and I hope they implode and their entitled fucking victims of fans have yet another disappointment

FA Cup final day was brilliant.

I watched it every year from about 1970 to around the early 1990s without fail. I genuinely cannot recall the last time I watched it. Haven't watched a League cup final since ours in 2008.
Same here, probably because live football on TV was such a rare thing. You got through the season relying on MotD and then in the first week of May there was a whole fucking day devoted to it. Cup Final It's a Knockout (ask your granddad young 'uns), chat about the players' breakfasts, suits and so on, The Road to Wembley...

And the fun of "supporting" another team for the day, I remember my mum going into a bookies for the first time in her life to bet two shillings on Sunderland to beat Leeds in 1973 because I'd had a dream about it a couple of days before and the two of us carrying on like we'd broke the bank at Vegas when they won...

It's like any long term relationship sometimes it's hard work but ultimately in this case it's just a game that's not going to ruin anyone's life (unless you are a fucking idiot)

If you enjoy it embrace it, if you aren't enjoying it totally take a step back from it , if it makes you miserable walk away from it.

I haven't even looked at the Premier League results for the last two weeks. I know some of them because they are unavoidable but i never look for them specifically.

The Championship is far more interesting.

Had an FA cup final tradition all through childhood and teens too-it was the one day I was allowed in the pub all day with my old man and his buddies and had bottomless coke and crisps every year. Absolutely loved it and always watched it into my 20's and further.
Watched ten mins of last years and honestly watching Woolwich lift it so many times while we couldn't ever get to a final again and the pain of so many fucking shite semi final defeats I am also done.
Sad state of affairs whats happening and its just a microcosm of football in general.
The money and lack of respect for tradition in the game nowadays is abhorrent.

The reality is Woolwich would happily burn those Fa cups piss on them and throw them out the window if they could replace them with a couple of years in the CL.

The FA cup wins done nothing for them in terms if moving them forward, they have done the square root of fuck all in the competitions they really value ie the CL and PL.

The Fa cup winners win 3.6 million prize money, for participating in the CL group stages each team gets 2.5 million per game just for turning up, if you lose all six games you get 15 million if you draw a game you get an additional 900k and 2.7 mil for the win, every additional stage of the CL is worth 9-15 million per round.

The reality is you are guaranteed to more than quadruple the prize money of an fa Cup win just for being in the group stages if you win every game in the groups it's nearly 9 times more which in turn guaranteed 9.5 million prize money in the last 16 taking your total to 11 times more, based on today's prize money the average annual Woolwich capitulation in the CL would net them about 35 million ! Spurs by my calculations would have made 70 million last year in prize money, so about 10 times and 20 times more prize money than an fa Cup win respectively.

I also wish winning an FA Cup ranked way above finishing 4th every year but the reality is in a world where clubs need to pay top players at least 10 million a year then the pragmatist is always going to prevail over the purist and play his strongest hand chasing the pot of gold in the CL, the FA cup is dead and will do little for a club in terms of the bigger picture and that's not even accounting for increased sponsorship and gates from the CL.
