Thought he was our best player on the pitch today from our outfield players, especially in that first half.

Absolutely everywhere. Intercepted so many passes, put in a great defensive shift and he's getting better every single week. The real test is coming up over the next month for him too. Dortmund over two legs. Chelsea and Woolwich all coming up.

confidence and good coaching, he is certainly better than Carroll and Mason at this stage
Always had the unfortunate feeling with both of them that ultimately they'd need to be moved on because of not being at the required level (same with Townsend).

Winksy feels like the real deal. At the very least, even if we brought in that coveted world class CM, he's looking good enough to be a part of the team for a long time.

He's so fucking Spurs, too. Doesn't just talk the tall, but really plays like a fan and leaves everything on the pitch.

Our injury crisis has been a massive pain in the arse, and did fuck us out of the cups, but this kind of adversity at least gives other players the opportunity to step up - which Winks has massively (Foyth to a certain extent too).

He really is loving life at the moment, learnt off the great man Dembele and is becoming a midfielder with 3 strings to his bow, tearing it up long may it continue, he loves a challenge and one of our own to boot - £0

Interesting that he was played in the holding position - I guess Poch thought it would be a step too far for Skipp to be DM in this match - so Winks was actually playing in his 2nd best position, and still looked the real deal.

He's better as a CM, allowing him more freedom to venture upfield and support Eriksen with some creativity - but experience as a DM to improve his defensive awareness will help his overall development too.

I wonder if Poch perhaps sees that as his future position?

Someone who can take the ball off the centre halves in the deepest midfield position and control the speed of the game through his recycling of possession. More a Busquets, Carrick, Alonso than an Iniesta so to speak.

carroll was never very good. not remotely surprised with where he's at now.

winks was always a proper prospect , ie actually going to make it at spurs.

Would be such a waste IMO. He's way too quick and adventurous on the ball to be a deep lying playmaker. An absolute born and bred Xavi/Inesta style classic number 8.

Running out of superlatives now.

Glad all those who criticised him have pretty much fucked off.

"Will be at Swansea within 2 years"

Your mum will be in Swansea gagging on cock within 2 years, cunts.

WE LOVE YOU WINSKY!!
