He's not good enough but we all knew that already, there is a reason he has barely played in the 2 years since he came here. We paid £10m for one decent cross.

It's just sad that we are reduced to starting players who are on the transfer list.

It always amazes me when players are continually slated. The odd moment I get but constant battering.

Players play only when selected and are scouted by clubs before that.

No player goes out to perform badly.

He was not great yesterday but who was?

His manager was clear last week about Janssen not playing or even in match day squads because he was not in his plans. 18 months and still here - impressive.

N'Koudou has now played twice in 3 games so draw your own conclusions.

Both were likely 5th/6th options.

The club just went for the cheapest and most getable options available.
No, they were scouted options with a team of people analysing the players before buying. Almost certainly why Mitchell isn't at the club any more (along with his other shite signings) and why Poch doesn't have a DOF above him.

The only good signing he ever did was Alderwiereld.

But with GKN, Janssen and Alderwierld the club pulled out all the stops to get them in. GKN spent weeks in a hotel off the M25 somewhere, committed to joining us but us having to deal with a twat in France. Janssen we paid a fair old chunk of change at the time, again with an owner of AZ doing a good job for his club and with Alderwiereld we took no prisoners in getting that deal over the line, fucking Southampton in the process who thought they had the deal in the bag as he had been on loan with them.

There is only one conclusion. We don't have anyone else who can play.

Correct.

So here is the next point.

Pochettino says he wants players who can improve us, so is he is effectively saying that we can neither find or buy anyone better than half a dozen players who have been average this season.

It is a strange set of affairs.

It's clear that Poch is very picky when it comes to signings, he would rather have nobody than someone he doesn't fully rate. Fazio, Stambouli, NJie, Janssen, Nkoudou, he has thrown them all in the bin very quickly and I think he is wary of actually committing to a signing when money is so tight.

But we are at the point now where the squad cannot perform without some fresh additions. He has to make a midfield signing now because this team cannot compete without one. These players have nothing left in the tank and it's embarrassing that someone so obviously not cut out for top level football, like GKN, is even getting on the team sheet after being a non-entity for 2 years.

Poch talked a lot last summer about being brave but he has to be brave now. Maybe we spend £40m on Doucoure or Hoffman and they turn out to be a terrible flop, but if he backs himself as a talent spotter and coach, he has to go for it.
