Great article which sums exactly what this season has been all about. Unrealistic expectations are fuelled by the media and our own hopes I suppose.
The loss of so many key players was inevitably going to have an impact sooner or later. Lennon didn't get a mention, and IMO, even if he wasn't at his best, when he wasn't in the side, we lost a natural balance to the team.
My issue is that we always seem to be in transition, either bedding in new players or a new manager or getting over the loss of a key player (Carrick/Berbatov/Modric/Bale?). Maybe, just maybe, next year we can really build on the experiences of this season and actually win something/get top 4.
