Good spurs contingent in the squad for the tournament - Smith, Caulker, Rose and Townsend.

Shame Tommy C didn't get the call - think he'd warrant it but for lack of game time. Would've also been good for Harry Kane to get in given te lack of strikers.

Think you're probably right but surprising that there are only 3 strikers and one of them (Zaha) is really a winger.

If anyones wondering how we did in 2013 with that squad with Caulker, Smith and Rose, we lost every group game and finished bottom of the group with 0 points

Not a great tournament for him really, Angel Gomes starting in his place and moves the ball around with a fluidity that Skipp just isn't capable of. Skipp had a good 15mins from the bench vs Israel. Do think Spain will be a tough game, would be nice to see him making a dent on it somehow. Do think he's a better player than he showed during the second half of 22/23, he's getting intercepted a lot when he tries to pass through the lines and pretty flimsy out of possession.. needs a bit of a reset.

Gomes has really impressed me in these under 21 games. Looks excellent positionally, keeps the ball and for an extremely small guy also puts himself about. I can see now why he's highly thought of in France and Lille. He looks a level above Skipp.
