They never will get Arry but the bloody should, he would get them playing fast attacking football and take the pressure off. Tactically we may be open and inept but we already are whilst playing a dull brand of football.
Harry was sacked by Brum recently

Harry’s ship sailed the moment the Fa brought in Hodgson. I actually think he’d do a good job for England-or would have done. The way he bent over & parted his cheeks for them was embarrassing though. He should have kept it buttoned rather than virtually beg them for the job through the media.
In terms of the set up, I’d still like to see Harry in some kind of supporting role with a younger manager. Dyche & Howe have done well with their respective clubs & I think are better managers than beaky Southgate. We’re stuck with him though, at least until the inevitable disappointment next summer.

Very glad to see Dele joining the team on this trip to Madrid. Not just so that he benefits from training with the group, but also because he'll be sitting there behind our bench tomorrow night and will fully realise just how stupid his red card last season was.

Watching his teammates get to walk out at the Bernabeu and not being able to do so as well? He'll be kicking himself. In fact, look out for any shots of him looking pissed off on the TV coverage.

...and just watch the Agent vultures & Shit stirring press circling him while he sits there!!
:deledoubt:
Guaranteed there's a "Madrid make offer Dele can't refuse" story by Wednesdy morning !

Was waiting for the "oh I'll bet he can't wait to play at the Bernabeu" responses.

The Dele speculation is what it is. Struggle to get too annoyed at it anymore.

Expecting better of the football journalists is like hoping an incontinent dog won't shit on the floor tomorrow.
:pochrolleyes:

One of his best games for Spurs. He did everything you'd want a CM to do. Recovered possession, intercepted passes, drove the team forward, set up chances and scored. Could end up being his best position. Less goals but more overall impact. Gets Son in the team as well, but leaves us with an over abundance of CMs and one or two players could see their game time drastically reduced if he becomes a regular CM.

Its almost like Lottery odds now, predicting how we are gonna line up!
We have a myriad of options and don't seem shy in using them :)

Dele was superb yesterday, seemed like he was everywhere. Very pleasing for him and Son to score as well.

Options, options, options. Every single player in our squad is capable of playing in more than one position with the exception of Lloris:
This is not fiction, these players have for Spurs already played in different positions.
Aurier = LB/RB
Davies = LCB/LB
Vertonghen = LB/CB/LCB
Toby = CB/RCB/RB
Sanchez = RCB/CB/LCB
Dier = RB/CB/LCB/DM
Wanyama = CB/DM
Rose = LB/DM(?)
Tripps = RB/LB
Winks = DM/CM
Son = LAM/RAM/LB/CF
Kane = CAM/CF (plays free, across the front 3 positions and drops deep)
Eriksen = CAM/DM/LAM/RAM
Dele = CM/CAM/ST (False 9)
Sissoko = RAM/CM
Lamela = CAM/RAM/LAM
Dembele = DM/CM/RAM
Walker-Peters = RB/LB

Players that have played in more than one position in the careers to date but not for us yet:
Foyth - CB (back can play CB/LCB/RCB)
Lorente = False 9 (but is a CF)

Now imagine being the opo coach and working out how to set up against us other than go fuck it, lets put 11 behind the ball.

Dele was excellent yesterday and as I've pointed out has been steadily improving since the West Ham game.

Weird that so many people can't see any difference in his game. You know, the people who think he's been fine all season.
Personally I'd prefer him to play like he did yesterday, than like he did against Burnley.

Same same to some of you though
