I found the interview in danish and it's far from what the english media is reporting.

- Nothing was said about his spinal cord, he has a problem with one of his abdominal muscles
- The injury isn't chronic but could become so, which is what we're worried about
- Hareide says the injury is long-term because Eriksen's been out for two weeks, but at the same time says he's tried to tempt Eriksen into playing in Dublin. Don't think you should read much into that comment
Thanks for clearing that up.

It's from the actual interview with Hareide as well. Sounds like it's being blown out of proportion in the media and him not going to Dublin seems more of a precaution
How they managed to turn abdominal muscle into spinal chord is honestly quite impressive as far as bad translation goes

I would care more if he had signed a new contract. Great player but I think he has decided to leave next summer so we may as well get used to playing without him

Will it matter though?
I mean sky will fall, and water levels will rise and 4 horsemen will take our souls anyway because everything looks so incredibly grim anyways, right ? :)

Thanks. Good job and I think I can speak for others on here it's a massive relief.

No it most definetely isnt, but given how coy the response was and that its “chronic” along with “you’ll have to speak to the doctor” and that you guys havent elaborated on it, i can only assume as such

Its like when Darren Fletcher was out for a year. What almost certainly happened is that he had his bowel removed in a 2 part procedure in which you end up having your small intestine sewed to your arse and in the interim have a colostomy bag. There is no other way to get rid of it like what was being reported at the time.

Its reported around 25-30% of people suffering from it will eventually need this procedure however one my specialists who also is a surgeon has told me iprobably only around 2% for his patients have required it.

Funnily enough smoking ciggarettes can help you to stay in remission from it. Try explaining that to people when they tell you to quit smoking haha

It could also be chrons which is closely related (inflammation to outside of bowel instead of inside). This is probably worse as theres no “cure” in the extreme cases like there is with colitis. Your only salvation is corticosteroids and an array of other meds
