Penalty duties are gonna be interesting with him and Kane next time we get one...

Both have scored with spot kicks this evening.

With more goals and more assists than Cuntinho, plus he hasn't pushed for a move out of the club or gone on strike (apparently off field "stuff" is taken into account), it's hard to figure why he's not on the Ballon d'Ore nominations.

Unfortunately, Ballon D'or (as well as FIFA ratings etc. etc.) has nothing to do with skill and everything to do with mainstream popularity.
Coutinho is a bigger name among the kids than Eriksen. Alas, he is better.

I had to do a Danny Rose to find out who T Mangani is....

Worst game of the season. But hopefully that means he'll feel he has something to prove at Wembley and put on a masterclass.

He seems the kind of character to want to prove a point. He'll do that.

I actually thought he was not that bad at all tonight. He dropped deeper a lot more in the second-half and kept possession well throughout. Came close to stealing the ball a number of times if not for awkward bounces.

Every time he got the ball, Modric was all over him. Had absolutely no time at all to influence anything, so whilst it wasn’t his best performance, he did have the best midfielder in the world up his backside every second of the match.

RM put so much effort into 'guarding' Eriksen it allowed Winks and Sissoko to exploit the extra time and space they were given ... still his numbers 41 passes (Winks 44, Sissoko 28) were still pretty good ....

Here's an interesting statistic .... whilst we all might agree that this was not Eriksen's best performance ... he still completed 5 key passes, the most of any player on either side (Kroos 4) so not that bad for an 'off' day .....

Let's hope he's' 'on' at Wembley this Sunday .....

Eriksen got his ass handed to him by Ratboy in Madrid. Incredible player Modric. Managed to be highly influential while nullifying Eriksen.

Hmmmm allowing Eriksen to make 5 KP's? .... think you need to look up the definition of nullifying

FYI - Modric whilst so busy 'nullifying' Eriksen managed just one KP .... so who nullified who?

That's not taking anything away from Modric, he's right up there as one of my all time best players to ever wear the lillywhite .....

i've put the same on another thread but lets not forget eriksen was playing more in a makeshift middle 3 against kroos/isco/cas/luka.

that is a fucking massive ask.

He didn't have a terrible game, and made a sincere effort. He however lacked the sharpness needed to tip the game in our favour. He had the ball in dangerous areas a couple of times, with some space and team mates making the right runs, where he lost the ball or failed to pick them out with a pass.
