Uvini is not eligible to play for the Tottenham's first-team, but the Brazilian will have the opportunity to impress Harry Redknapp in the reserves.

We don't have an official reserve league team but he can still play a few times in friendlies before the end of the season. He will need a while to adapt like Sandro did so it makes sense.

Uvini is very highly rated in Brazil as a youngster, so unusual that he would be on loan to us with no chance at even 1 Prem appearance..

Still, if he's as good as quoted we've potentially got a great little player on our hands if/when we sign him permanently!

It took Sandro months of playing in the Premier League to adapt to our game.

Good luck kid.

Exactly. There were a lot of people that were convinced Sandro wouldn't cut it at Spurs until the Milan incident.

You never know when/if a youngster is going to have an "Aha!" moment and suddenly their entire game starts to come together and you suddenly say "fuck me, this kid has world class potential!"

It's a double edged sword, it's just difficult to give a youngster those opportunities for the outside chance everything will start to "click."

I do appreciate a good CB, as part of the defenders union it's nice to see a youtube of good defensive displays for his country. Fuck the primadona strikers who only get it right once a game and want all the glory.

Looks composed, strong, tall, and puts himself in harms way. We like these things. However the problem with montage of a defender is that errors lead to goals, and they tend not to make the edit.

Looks like he links up well with Neymar as well.

Worth a dabble to see how he gets on with life in UK, can keep Sandro entertained when we ship Gio out, just before Damiao arrival. £3.5mil option to buy isn't too shabby either.

At the very least it gets spurs more exposure in brazil and hopefully will sell more commercial stuff in one of Levy's targetted BRIC nations. Next up, a new Chinese Sensation.

Could it be the man at the top still has plan?

:levystare: :levywtf:

(that or levy is already missing the snappy dress sense of PAav, and this guy is a suitable replacement)
