You do realize that his goal/assist record as a striker/CF is almost on par with Kane right? You remember all those games he played CF/striker when Kane was out?
Playing as as striker when Kane is out because we have no other strikers isn't the same as being a genuine full time number 9. His finishing and hold up play aren't consistently good enough. He's nearly 30 years old if he was going to become a CF it would have happened before now.

That's true but I think it could work. He wouldn't be the typical out and out #9. He'd be more like Vardy.

I think that putting him up top (or at least closer to the opposition goal than he is now) and allowing Kane to focus on being a 10 would get the best out of both players.

Son is struggling pretty bad right now in the role Conte's got him playing while Kane is at his best playing in that 10 role. As an out and out #9, we can't get the ball to him frequently enough and we lose out on his passing/distribution.

So why not switch them and potentially see the best out of both of them?
