    European super league

I don't think this would be about creating a new league, more about making the CL into a private club - by invitation only

    European super league

International TV money already dwarfs domestic rights. International TV rights for a super league guaranteeing the biggest "brands" in the world play each other every year would be even bigger. I hope this is just a bargaining move but it seems disturbingly plausible.

    European super league

People not taking this threat seriously enough imo. Exactly what you would expect teams like United and Liverpool to try to do in reaction to this new era of Premier League parity.

Transfers January 2015 Transfer Window DISCUSSION Thread

I dunno, still seems sketchy. There have been many articles about Rodriguez being offered a new deal, and his refusal to sign it, and none mention a break clause or player option. Feel like Stobart just misspoke and he'll correct himself later.

Transfers January 2015 Transfer Window DISCUSSION Thread

Jay Rodriguez agrees move from Burnley to Southampton in £6m deal | Football | theguardian.com Signed a four year deal in summer of 2012. Unless it involves a break clause after three years or the fourth year is a player option or something, he still has 2 years to run.

Summer 2014 Transfer Window DISCUSSION Thread

One other odd detail -- Saphir Taider, who Southampton took on loan from Inter 3 weeks ago, and was assumed to be a natural replacement for Schneiderlin, has just been loaned to Sassuolo back in Italy instead. Utterly bizarre, but probably a related consequence too.

Summer 2014 Transfer Window DISCUSSION Thread

Also, some have mentioned Marseille have been linked with Stambouli heavily recently, and he apparently turned them down. Marseille are currently managed by Bielsa, Pochettino's mentor and the guy who instilled in him a love for a high intensity pressing game. Not sure if this had anything to...

Summer 2014 Transfer Window DISCUSSION Thread

Actually think this is the tail end of a chain reaction of events that have been playing out in the last few days: Napoli got knocked out of the CL two days ago, leaving them not enough money for Sandro Without selling Sandro we decided not to pay a premium price for Schneiderlin Since...

    Lewis Holtby

Yeah there was less of his usual chicken w/ head cut off franticness. Maybe Pochettino just needs to slip him some downers before each game so he can be back down at a normal human intensity levels by the time he steps on the pitch.

    S4 #04 - Lamela's Got Legs

Why does @WindyCOYS, that's COYS for Come On You Spurs™ hate branding, everyone knows little things like having a memorable catchphrase, or consistently signing off your communiques with the same motto or jingle can help you maximize the strength of your personal brand identity, actually I think...
