    Lewis Holtby

Man crush on Holtby is reaching alarming levels now.
  2. Phil1988

    Vlad Chiricheș

@Dan D - did he do well? I didn't see the game and our highlights tended to show us destroying Villa, so didn't see much of him.
  3. Phil1988

    dawson for england

Like a lot of us, I could care less about England. I'd rather keep Daws fit and healthy and playing for us every week then see him starting for England.

Match Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur

I'm trying hard not to get carried away. Numerous fuck ups suggest that's the best option but this team is just plain sexy. Strong defence and banging the goals in :avbdamn: Still, Chelsea this weekend will be a good test of where we are as a team.

    "Yid" chanting...

Would any of us actually stop using the word 'Yid' in chanting if it actually got to the point of being banned? I've read talk of prosecution and bans if these moaners had their way. I think we should actually be praised for turning something which people used as an insult into a badge of...

    Lost one game

I'm a big fan of AVB and I think he's already proving to be a great manager for us. Since when has a manager in recent times masterminded a record of 1 goal conceded in 5 league games? For us, that's quality. Gone are those days of Anthony Gardner! :avblol:
  7. Phil1988

    Paulinho

I love the enthusiasm Holtby has. It's clear he actually wants to play for us. Back to Paulinho though.....what a beast. The guy's rapidly becoming my favourite player :holtbytongue:

Which 13/14 Kit Should I Choose? Kit Review

I would go with the newly released third shirt. That or the home one. Never a 'keeper's kit.
  9. Phil1988

    Willian, lucky escape? (Eriksen)

We've smashed it by getting Eriksen and Paulinho for £11m and £15m while Chelski paid £32m for Willian and City £30m for Fernandinho. Doubled by the fact that our lads actually look decent and we're laughing :eriksenlol:
  10. Phil1988

    Vlad Chiricheș

I can't wait to see Vlad play tonight (hopefully he does anyway). Reckon we've got a proper centre half with this fella:townhmm:

    Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

I get that, but it would be nice if AVB had the same ability to persuade a player to sign with us as Baldini and Levy clearly have.

    Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

So Eriksen reckons Baldini and Levy convinced him to sign with us. Little concerning that it suggests our manager didn't have "the right words", rather Baldini and Levy did. I wonder how many of the signings over the summer would have actually bothered with us if Baldini was elsewhere.

Our 2013-14 Home Kit “drops” 8 July

I must admit, I haven't bought a kit for a while (I tend to prefer the more retro old school shirts), but this one looks a winner. Might have to invest.

    Title in your lifetime?

We've got this far without having a billionaire take us over, so I continue with the hope that we can win the league without one. Honestly, I think that's the only way though. Chelsea and Man City never looked like winning the league until they got all the money.

Robbie Savage - Spurs will finish sixth

I just wish Justin Edinburgh properly nutted him when we won the Worthington Cup.
  16. Phil1988

    Andros Townsend

Agreed that his final delivery is poor and it might be a case that he's pissed we're trying to sell him. But he's an exciting player and his goal against Chelsea a few years back is a particular highlight. I think it's a case of 'what if' with Lennon. If he had mastered his delivery and was...

    Andros Townsend

Checked it out, according to Physio Room (.com) he has an ankle/foot injury and is expected back on September 14th. Not sure how reliable that is though.
  18. Phil1988

    Match Spurs v Norwich

Let's just hope we score a bloody goal from open play!
  19. Phil1988

    Andros Townsend

When is Lennon due back? I love the guy but I'm not even sure he'll get a starting spot anymore.

    Stadium New Stadium

Rome wasn't built in a day I suppose. Waiting that long would suck though.
