You watched him play? He was instrumental in keeping the ball moving quickly though the midfield, switching the field of play, and hitting accurate long balls over the top for Southampton. Very similar to the excellent output we've seen from Capoue and Bentaleb so far this season. Also instrumental in marshaling the pressing system from the center of the pitch. By far Southampton's most important player as I've seen many Saints fans note.

I have, and I'm not disagreeing. But I repeat, there are much better options than MS than him for that role.
