can anyone find any positives from this game because I’m at a loss?
It's Man City. They do this to most teams. We don't have to play them every week, or again in the league this season (which they will surely win by miles, having a squad that is vastly superior to that of all other teams).

We do have to play them in the Carabou Cup Final though... eek... :/

When you work with Mendes and his clients he protects them, managers or footballers. There's no easy way to sack them they don't agree to break clauses or anything of the sort. When it's time to go you have to pay them the big money that's why it's difficult for Levy right now.

Called it btw

  1. BROCKVILLE BROCKVILLE

    Player Gareth Bale

31 Injury prone His main concern has been golf for the past 2 years These romantic returns rarely work out it doesn’t feel right to me - but more than willing to be proved wrong It should have been Dybala or Bruno last year
You and a large majority of fans. The nostalgic fans had dreams, but didn't take a genius to see he was washed up

Thing is, we're allowed to lose against City... most teams will/have done... it's the dropped points in games against West Ham, Palace, Fulham, Wolves, etc etc etc that have done us...
are WE not allowed to spring a surprise? Or is it always other teams that get to win the 'surprise point(s) against us? WHY couldn't we pull off a surprise against a piss poor (at the time) Liverpool, or even against City today? We always revert to type against them... yet Fulham can come to ours and draw... West Ham can come back from 0-3 down with 8 fucking minutes to play to draw with us... WE we 0-3 down with 8 minutes to play tonight... where was OUR unlikely comeback...? fucking nowhere, that's where!

It's not Dr Tottenham, or Spursy... 'cos Man City don't need our help... it's just a sad state of affairs that we don't have the wherewithal to either create a shock, or upset the status quo.

We've got a losers mentality coursing through our veins at the moment... and that needs to STOP if we're ever gonna achieve anything in our lifetimes.... and what with COVID and all... those lifetimes could be much shorter than some of us were planning on!

If jose and pep swapped squads, City might not make top 4.

Mourinho is finished, as top 4 is now out of reach. But I really don't know if rushing to sack him will do anything. Levy needs to get this right. He's made many mistakes in recent years that led us to this moment, and he needs to think very carefully about his next move before he does long term damage to the health of the club. We need to not only pick the right manager this time, but even more importantly, a whole new transfer policy, and ideally a director of football brought in to execute a long term strategy. Nothing short of a major overhaul is going to fix this.
