I’m shocked that, even before the City news came out, people thought “we can forget about CL qualification.” I don’t want to be mean but what type of warped mentality do you have to give up on finishing above chelsea when we’re only 4 pts behind them?

Because we don't have a striker and we are not playing well. Yes we are within touching distance but it's a lot to expect this team to turn around the poor season they have had so far and t do it without Harry. Plus we are battling with Wolves, Man Utd, Sheff Utd and even Everton to overtake Chelsea. It's going to be a dogfight till the end of the season for 4th place. We are no longer the consistent strong team we were from 2015 to the end of 2018 so we can't take anything for granted.

We obviously think very differently. Since Poch left, we actually HAVE been a top four side and we also have seen Lo Celso/Tanganga break out, brought in a winger that gave us a winner against the defending champs, and had our captain return. Imagine actually thinking we don't have enough to finish above a poor Everton side, Ole's Utd (LMFAO), and a Sheffield utd team that has never been in a race like this. Like Chelsea don't have 1 win in their last 5 either

There's a very distinct difference between 'we can't take anything for granted' and 'we can forget about CL qualification'

We are now given a 43% chance of getting Champions League football next season. Woolwich given a 2% chance with the news :mourloopy:

If I remember correctly, all entrants to the UCL have to be finalized 1 week from the start of the competition. That gives Man City until 16 June (UCL starts on 23 June) to win an appeal for next season. I don't see that as a possibility.
If the appeal is still ongoing in mid-June their ban is suspended until the 21-22 season

Proper run in now. United, Everton, Leicester and wolves all to play at home. Other contender Sheffield we play away.

100% in our hands.

If they've pumped 2.7 billion into the club, unfairly, then what about the last 3 seasons where they've dominated and handed out some real beatings. Chalk off that stunted little cunt agueros goals for a start.

Also since MW12 when Poch was sacked West Ham are a bottom 3 team and Woolwich bottom 6.

And Arteta yapping on about CL qualification

Not necessarily the CAS would need a request from City to suspend the ban, as with Chelsea's transfer ban this might not happen, so even when it was under appeal Chelsea were still banned ... having the ban suspended allows the cheating club to just buy around the issue, the very reason UEFA waited until the January window closed was to stop that happening. Suspending the ban defeats that purpose any attempt would not play well for City with the CAS.

City's problem is that whilst they ignored all UEFA's requests for information claiming clear bias, they can't do that with the CAS, maybe just appealing the severity whilst admitting the issues will be the way for them to go ... might get away with only one year if they do that. If they open their books UEFA and the EPL will get to see all the dirty dealings ... City almost certainly won't want that.
