I'm afraid Poch for some reason simply does not react quickly enough if his initial tactics are obviously failing to work. He seems unable to accept what is clearly unfolding in front of his eyes. It's as if he inwardly regards it as failure on his part so lets it drag on hoping for a recovery. Plan A always lasts for at least one hour.

We can all criticise and say what we would do in his situation but one thing I know for sure. The point at which to make a tactical team change during that match was undoubtedly half time. Why continue with the same set up for another 15 minutes ?. Steve Bruce must have been delighted to see the same eleven run out onto the pitch second half.

My single most frustration with Poch has always been this weakness. I cannot recall the last time he made a half time substitution that was not forced upon him by injury. Should anyone actually have that statistic I would love to know when it was.
Yep. I predicted it. No change, the 'let's see how it goes' 15 mins, then lo and behold the subs come on dead on the hour. Bloody clockwork.

We look so badly coached. The man came here with a philosophy, but there is little evidence of it now. He's been here 5 years and still not coached us how to pass and move.

Pep and Klippity have raised the bar so high, it's not even funny.

There's very little one touch passing. It's all pass, control, look around, pass, control, look around, pass...

Don't forget point.

Everything appears to have gone backwards. Basic defending, mental preparation, we look unfit/lethargic/pressing has gone out the window.

And Poch is getting more and more ratty with the media. Is it because he no longer has the answers?

But we didn't buy for two fucking windows we simply had to spend top managers want top prizes which we simply can't deliver on.

This is a big problem - prices have gone up during those two years and it’s impossible to buy players with promising talent unless we part with an arm or a leg.

There are positions where we need replacements quite sorely, other than our midfield, and we’ve been unable to attend to those. We need to rebuild our back 4 and we’re nowhere close to achieving that.

Things look messy at the moment no doubt.

Some really bizarre decisions being made -where is Jan? What is the reason he's not playing?

Rose was left behind on the pre season tour to "explore other options."
Eriksen is in and out of the team and seems that he is committed to leaving whether it be this window or the next.

Not sure how positive this kind of situation is for team spirit.

Then we've had too many signings late on in the window without fitness or a decent pre season. Only Ndombele has been integrated into the 1st team.

No backup striker - Llorente gone and Parrott not ready to step up it seems. Very little options in a game like today if Kane is not firing.

Couple this with a few injuries/fitness issues and perhaps a hangover from last season's form and champs league defeat and it's all got a bit of a negative feel quickly.

No experienced rightback either.
