As others have said the atmosphere didn’t really feel like a proper match and most people (me included) more interested in having a look around TBH. I imagine next saturdays will be much more like it.

Place looks absolutely beautiful, I cannot wait to get over-hope all enjoyed their first experience there today;)

It won't feel like a proper match until that game vs Palace I reckon. The passion when it means something will take it up so many notches, moreso than watching the likes of Neil Sullivan and Chris Perry produce absolute velvet

TBH, I'd only expect so much different next weekend, esp. being an 'old'-blokes friendly.

Shit gets real for Palace.

Just had a moment ill never forget.

As I was leaving the arena to get another pint, crossed paths with a pensioner walking in for the first time. His face, he had tears in his eyes, grabbed his wife's arm, and just said "fuck me".

That was beautiful.

See this is where fan TV could in theory be awesome....

I'd love to see some interviews with some of the older fans today and get a taste of the emotion of the day... i.e. What it means to those that have seen the WHL through it's many incarnations and hear them spill out a few anecdotes...
