Is Harry holding a hard on!?! :kanegoal:

Just so we don't get carried away, some concerns...

Tripper is a poor LWB
Sissoko and Aurier don't work together yet
Son was poor
N'Koudou isn't making the most of his chances
Hugo's kicking

Full credit to Pochettino for changing 1 & 2, we looked a whole lot better after that. 3 is just an off day you'd think. 5 we know about and is compensated for by saving our bacon on so many other occasions, tonight included.

No getting away from 4 tho.
It must have been differcult with the poor pitch, playing very late on a Tuesday night and the team shuffle. Overal great performance with lady luck shining handsomely on us.

Moments of brilliance paid off. We'll need a high goal difference to make it though this tough group.
Apoel was much stronger than I thought they'd be.
Defense was shaky today, we were lucky not to concede. Missed the other 1/2 of the Belgian brotherhood considerably.

Other the Harry, the offense seemed out of sorts without Eriksen dictating the flow, but seemed to gel in the last 20 minutes.

Goal difference isn't such an issue as the head-to-head counts first. We've already got a 3-1 buffer over Dortmund so that's what I'm looking out for

From a progression standpoint, the 2 most important fixtures were probably these first 2. Dortmund at Wembley was a necessity to get the upper hand for 2nd, and away to APOEL is the banana peel sort of match that does many clubs in - including Spurs so often. Coming away with maximum points really puts us on the front foot and leaves anything from Madrid as a true bonus rather than required to climb back into the fight.

Been so nervous about this match, it's really a pleasant surprise sometimes when the gut punch never comes!
