I got block 104, family ticket. Aborted buying as only realised it's my 3rd son's 3rd birthday, the missus would kill me for taking the two eldest to Wembley that day. :pochserious::pochsulk::pochunimpressed:

What would be great is to actually talk to McDermott, build a relationship with him. I'm sure there are games he would prefer no loud support at and others where he wants it. Also, for any fan of the club who wants to feel really, really close to it I can't recommend highly enough going to the training Centre to watch a game, it takes you to the heart of what a football club is.

What's the deal with watching games at the training centre in terms of getting in? Just turn up? Booking a ticket? Registering?

Go on the site to find when a game is on and just turn up. Occasionally you might need a ticket even if game is free, but staff a very friendly and have been no problem for me when I haven't got a ticket.

Hi there, appreciate this may not be the correct thread but as this seems to include many that do the European travel, here goes:- Could anyone who traveled to Monaco in November recommend any bars in Nice or Monaco where the local touts congregate? City are reputed to be getting less than 950 tickets (same as Spurs I believe) and Monaco are now only selling €200 & €250 match tickets through their webite! Just wondered how you got on there for picking up tickets. My only hope is that the locals have bought up the cheaper tickets to sell on, but am hoping you can advise where. Was there a late train put on to get everyone back to Nice after the game?
Cheers in advance for the help.

Thanks mate, will head down soon for sure

There was a booze ban in Monaco with no drinking on the street allowed (in theory), and some bars were closed, but McCarthy's Irish Bar was open and was very good, you were able to stand out the front across the road with your beers. Got extremely busy but they had decent numbers behind the bar so it wasn't too dreadful getting served. Although it's right over the other side of Monaco, it's still only a 20/25 minute walk to the ground.

In Nice, it was Wayne's Bar. We drunk there earlier before heading to McCarthy's but I know a few stayed there all afternoon before heading straight to the game. There's a row of 3 or 4 bars all next door to each other there with people congregating out the front. If you're doing a night in Nice, that's where you want to head back to after the game.

Cheers SpursLegend, I'd heard about the 2pm match day alcohol ban in Monaco so the irish bar recommendation is good & we have a couple of nights in Nice so will check out the other bars you mention.
Did you notice any locals selling tickets in any of the bars? Did you get a train back to Nice afterwards? The last train published is well before the game is over & I'm sure they doing want hundreds hanging about in Monaco at midnight.

Re. tickets, no I didn't notice anybody (locals or away fans) selling tickets on the day. Fortunately I was sorted before I went out there though, so wasn't exactly on the look out.

The train back to Nice isn't a problem. The last train was also before full time for our game, but the police held us back in the stadium at Full Time, and then escorted us to the station where a train was waiting in the platform for us, taking us back to Nice. I assume they will do the same for you.

Thanks for that regarding the train. Is there another part of the forum where the question about tickets would be more likely to get answers?

I have one in 110, will you be trying to get tickets for the away end too ? If so you'll have to qeue at the Ghelamco next week :(

The demand for tickets in Ghent is huge. Many supporters already have accomodation and travel sorted.
Unfortunately our club hasn't started the general sale of the tickets in the away end yet. (supporters clubs and club travel arrangements got preference). Of the 4000 tickets apparently 15% would be available in the general sale, that's about 600.
Because the general sale by Spurs starts on monday many Buffalo's will buy tickets Monday in the sections closest tot the away end to be sure. So do we.
Plenty haven't even waited that long and bought a Spurs membership (there are worse things) to be able to buy tickets already.

We will cue up at the Ghelamco for tickets for the away end obviously.
If that doesn't work out we will be among Spurs fans. Luckily we are a friendly bunch. I have no doubt the Spurs fans are aswell. The only worry we have is to bring pralines or "neuzekes" (a local delicacy) to Wembley to hand out to our guests.

Out of interest, how many Gent fans would normally travel to a European away match that's reasonably easy to travel to, such as your Champions League matches last season against Wolfsburg, Valencia or Lyon? Is the demand similar, or is the demand for this one much higher because it's Spurs/Wembley?
