Farewell Walker! And Rose too if he wants to go!

I’ve followed the story of our fullbacks all summer like everyone else but I see it as a positive move. Cashing in on a great right back who rarely puts a decent ball in the box, when we have a great crosser to replace him seems like great business to me.

Yes! I’m a believer in the ‘If they don’t want to play for us then we shouldn’t want them to play for us’ attitude. I’d take an 80% talent with 100% attitude over a 100% talent with an 80% attitude all day!

Trippiers crossing is exceptional, as displayed again when we put Real Madrid to bed, and whilst he’s very physically fragile I believe he has the capacity to fill what will probably be the most analysed void in the Premier League this season.

Rose is a different story. He’s a better player than Walker and his deputy is less well equipped but if your heart’s not in the badge then find another badge. I agree with the wage demands but our club simply can’t (or won’t) pay what our competitors do, unless we win big via a Mintbet Coupon Code.

But we’ve improved every season for the last 10 years and repeatedly sold our best players.

Ambition? Yes. But investment in players is not the way forward for us right now. We need to get our new stadium finished, nick a trophy and then attract new players to win the Premier League. The Stadium is key and should be our priority.

We have an exceptional manager, who will probably outlast the ownership, who has a better record of developing players over recruiting them.

Progress over perfection. Champions League qualification from a home base that stifles our players and inspires the opposition would be an even bigger achievement than our highest PL finish in my opinion. And who knows how The Poch and his team might improve what we already have?

What I know is we’re not perfect but we do progress. WHEN we win the league we’ll have the same issues as all the top clubs, recruitment and sustainability, but for now I believe we should enjoy PROGRESS until we hit PERFECTION!
