Our squad the most valuable in the PL and third in Europe behind Barcelona and Real Madrid?

Interesting....

I haven't had time to drill down and find the full report, so don't know what values they give our players.

The 6 English players we finished the Man City game with cost a combined £13m. 2 Harrys were free. Alli £50m now? Rose £25m?

Barça very inflated as Messi was nil transfer, now £170m. And Neymar valued at £246m. Who can afford that - Real? China? He won't go to those 2. imo we're effectively better than BCF.

For those that were in meltdown due to drawing with Sunderland....

It's annoying other teams have improved as well, but we're also well on our way.

This is the tightest fight between the top 6 ever in the Premier League, and possibly ever in England. Literally 6 title-contending quality teams slogging it out at the top, with no room for error. The fact that we're in this with a chance of anything is pretty remarkable when you think about it.

Anyone remember under AVB and Sherwood where we would always concede early and were the only team in the league to not score in the opening 15 minutes?

We're not dead yet:

Even after a really fucking tough loss, we're still in a good place. (Seriously though, why must we shit the bed at Anfield every goddamn year?)

Gary Gelade made some very interesting insights on crossing at tge OptaPro conference:
Art of crossing can still count in an age of crowded penalty areas | Sean Ingle

TLDR; some types of crossing can be useful/effective. But you need Christian Eriksen to Dele Alli levels of talent to make it work properly.

And Colin Trainor took a fascinating look at how football isn't really a game of 90 minutes:

Brilliant bit of data visualisation from the FT there

We already had 6 consecutive wins this season and before, 7 we hadn't got since 67.
We are now with 68 pts, 3 more points and 1 more win and we'll match our best season in the PL in total!
