Get off your 'big club' high horse bullshit, we haven't won't the title in 55 years.
Unlike you I feel no need to wrap myself in the deeds of those 6 decades ago. Whilst I can acknowledge our history, I doubt players are thinking let's join spurs because they did the league double 60 years ago.
Our wage structure simply cannot accommodate an establish world class player, sure we are more attractive than a raft of others, but by definition world class players can go anywhere and we have yet to crack that elite inner circle.
We may and I hope we do, but for now, log out of FM and stop being a whiny cunt.

Who really gives a fuck about our wage structure? It just seems like a cliche for mediocrity. £97m for the bottom team this year. Let alone what we get from the CL. We can afford to buy and pay some decent footballers. It's not about doing a Leeds or a Portsmouth, it's about showing some ambition. Has anyone seen us play recently? We have a one man team, and the daft cunt is banned. We are terrible at the moment.

So you post all this shit then call me a whiny cunt....what a fuck off clown you are. United didn't win the title for nearly 30 years before Fergie. So did they then become a small club. ?
We are a fucking big club. We have a fucking big fan base. We have a fucking big history. The first double winners. The first English European trophy winners. We are Fucking Tottenham Hotspur. So fuck off with your small club mentality, your really don't know your fucking history.

There's always empty seats in every ground. Particularly for early midday kick offs. Some ST holders just don't turn up, a few odd seats get left on stub hub. The ground was generally full, unless your commenting on what you could see on 43 minutes etc...
Don't know about the Paxton as i was in there.
Park Lane upper near the front and away fans there was a group of about 18 seats empty.
West Upper Block 8 there was a group of about 12 seats empty.
West Lower there was 4 front row seats empty next to the away dugout plus quite a few singles empty in the lower.
East Upper Block C at the back in the corner there were about 12 empty, and there looked like plenty empty at the end of Block J.

Who cares? Levy does.
No offence Joe, but Levy has taken us from bottom/mid table mediocrity to challenging for top 4, all whilst getting us out of the financial situation Sugar got us in AND building a new stadium.
I have no doubt our wage structure will steadily increase, in actual fact given how many improved contracts we have signed recently I'm betting it already has.
However, you have jumped in halfway through a discussion and have taken it way out of context, my point was, was that we aren't going to sign a player/s on 150 K a week to challenge our midfielders/AM's in the next 4 days because of knee jerk reactions from forum members.
It simply isn't going to happen.

Yawn.
Hold on to your we are a big club mentality if you'd like, after all it's completely subjective.
I go for Spurs because I was born in north London and lived a stones throw from WHL; I'd go for them if they were playing park football, or in the prem.
Like you I'm very passionate, but I can also be objective. Do you think it matters to Forrest how many trophies sit in their cabinets? Do you think they run around spouting the big club mentality bullshit whilst trying to sign players?
Give me a break, football is about current tangibles; how much are you going to pay me, where are you based, will you challenge for a title and are you playing in Europe.
Based on this, if I was a world class player and I had a choice between Spurs and the current elite, who would I be signing for?

No you are so so so wrong. Firstly the areas that were empty usually don't have season tickets, top tier of the shelf towards Park lane etc. Secondly it was not the odd seat, which would explain the odd season ticket holder on holiday it was areas of about 50-100 seats around the ground.
Sorry I am being a bit abrasive today. ;) I am feeling very sick. It is just many people on here seem to have very little 'actual' knowledge about spurs apart from knowing the player's names. I am glad the Son fanboy's have gone when we all realised he is bang average.

boring football
will not have another chance like last year squander squander
most likely finish top 10 this year

First things first for those who watched the game on the box, turn the commentary off. It's subtle and constant bias against us. I am not suggesting for one minute that it is even deliberate, just the view point of EVERY person involved with the commentary "supported" either Liverpool or Woolwich. Here is what I mean:
Constant reference to Spurs finishing the season poorly, must have been mentioned at least 5 times. Constant ref to Spurs not beating Liverpool since 2012. Contrast that with NOT a SINGLE reference to Liverpool only finishing above Spurs once in 7yrs!! Not a SINGLE reference to Liverpool finishing 8th last season, joint worst position in 61yrs!!! Why not say "Liverpool have failed to beat Spurs in three years"? When we scored Tylers first words were "Mane's offside goal was pivotal". When we attacked they spoke of the Liverpool defence. When they attacked they spoke of the Liverpool attack (not our defence). Alli's (the most fouled player in the game) temperament was AGAIN mentioned/highlighted, no reference to Mane's temperament, his was actually praised. Pulling up the Vertonghen shirt pull and saying it should be a penalty, failing to understand the rules as you can't give a penalty when the ball is not in play (the corner hadn't been taken). *Please don't confuse this as a disgruntled rant. They are not doing it deliberately, but if you support (and they do openly support their clubs passionately) what would you say if you were commentating? It's subtle but it is constant throughout the entire 90mins. and it's seeping into your consciousness too. Turn the commentary OFF, or go watch the game in the pub where you can't here the commentators.

The game:
Draw was a fair result. We had the better of the first 10mins, despite the best chance falling to them. Thought next 10mins was even, remainder of the half Liverpool were better. Second half, first 10mins they were better, without creating anything. Remainder of the half we were the better side.

The penalty shouldn't have even been given, Courtinho was offside and he was interfering with play by making a run to draw a defender. I fucking hate pens being conceded for a touch like that, what is the defending player supposed to do? Where is he supposed to go? If Lamela makes zero challenge or zero attempt to do anything how can it even be a foul? But it was given, their only goal they got was not from open play and shouldn't have been given! If that was a penalty why were we not awarded one Lovren against Jansen (holding), it was a stonewall pen.
Whilst I'm winging a bit, Mane, should have been sent off today, 4 clear yellow card fouls made only one given, lucky boy.

Wanyamma is a fantastic player, far far better than I thought he was, he is much more than a "beast" player, some great feet and intricate work in the first half.

Vorm, his save in first 5 mins was brilliant, stayed on his feet, reacted to shot, saved it and then reacted even quicker to gather the ball. Supper tackles off his line too, these moments are where you judge a keeper as they are decisions that are being made, every goalkeeper can pull off reaction saves once in a while, but having a keeper that make good decisions breeds confidence at the back.

Lamela - Very good again

Rose - Very good game, shut out Mane (which many defenders will fail to do this year), so much so he changed his position.

For me the players that are not at the same levels as last year are Kane, Alli and Dier. Although thought Dier was good when asked to play RB. I don't know why this is, loads of talk about Euro's etc but other players who played their Rose, Walker, Toby look OK and on form. Eriksen another disappointing game from him, but like last year he didn't show up until the Bournemouth game. But to have these 4 players (over a quarter of our team) not on form is basically the reason why we are not purring yet.

Started to read some of the comments on here and thought we had lost six nil. We took a point from a team that people are saying has a nailed on top 4 place. We've taken a point away from home from Everton, who I think will be vastly improved under Koeman probably a top 6 team. I think we are OK, very similar to last year. I'd go so far as to say that we are managing games better than the same time last year. Remember the Leicester away game, that was fucking horrible. We are not flowing yet but name me a team that is? Then name me a team that is above us who have played harder oppo than us, Hull??? Last year Poch didn't know his best team at this stage, so not only were we trying to click, each game there were players coming in and out of the team. This year we know the team, we therefore can see where the improvement should come from (Alli, Kane, Eriksen & Dier), with Dembele still to come back in I think things are more than OK right now.

A lot of seat designations and allocations have been shuffled around this season mind. And, like I said, midday kick offs are notorious for no shows. The fact that the official attendance 31,211 suggests that it was a virtual sell out. The club can only sell the seats. Whether people turn up or not is out of their hands

The small club / big club debate is as much about our current PR as it is about the mechanisms that make us great. Of course we are a big club, but the media does a poor job selling us...

I am told that the way the press are accommodated at clubs like Cheatski and the goons is way way over the top in terms of corporate jollies, where as Spurs are a bit reserved in the same senses, the same with the Sky TV set ups. Some clubs go right over the top with looking after the pundits, some don't. This all leads to favorable media coverage v average media coverage. We look smaller than we are as we are simply not bribing anyone to make us look big, see West Ham for proof as to how it currently works.

It is also lets us know who which fans have very small cocks.

well they won't be your 'm8s' for long...
not cool bro.
Joke or no joke, saying 'no one in London cares' about 96 other Human Beings dying, is the heartless, remorseless rebuke of a fucking serial killer! Have some fucking empathy... even if you hate the lot of them, that's not the way to express it!

Unless the 'Israel' bit of your username is merely ironic, I can only assume it's something more Zionist? In which case, you must be more than fully aware of the resentment and hatred directed towards our Jewish Brothers down the ages... don't lower yourself to that!
As the saying goes nobody ever deserves to go to a football match and not make it home, not even them cunts

Thoughts.........

1. Rose is best attacking left back in the PL

2. Toby is the best CB in the PL

3. Our passing accuracy in the final 1/3 was trash again. Not sure we're getting the separation to allow for it. Our attack has no teeth.

4. Wanyama is a real asset

5. Harry Kane is .............. ugh, to say the least not living up to this season's expectations. We need more speed up top.
