Ok tell the Chairman to tell the stewards to keep to themselves, support the fans and groups like 1882, speak to the fans on occassion so as to not look like a sinister bad guy, stop raising ticket prices, stop the stubhub bollocks, get a grip on the insane transfer policy that is a complete nonsence infact let Poch deal with who we should buy and sell so we can actually have a balanced team, oh yeh back the manager in general.

The fans are nervous, angry and confused because the running of this club makes no sense, it's becoming more corporate like Chelsea and City but without any of the success. Most Spurs fans are not used to success anyway but are used to stylish football and a certain way of doing things that feels like it has now gone and thus WHL is not the happy place of yester-year.

I think it is very hard for the vast majority of the North American support, if not all ,to understand the angst
and bitterness that like a cancer is growing at Spurs . A few remember the Club as London's top team
and arguably the country's glamour club. Many feel so detached from the owners ethos as see no
light at the end of the tunnel under their stewardship . Results tend to paper over the cracks with
this regime .
We all support Spurs but only a few support Enic/Levy .
"Love will tear us apart "

Going back a bit as London's top team but glamour club yeh, even under Redknapp we played the most fun football in the country, Fergie often remarked on our style of play, we were many people's second team (non-Woolwich, Chelsea, West Ham fans of course), maybe not successful but fucking good to watch which when it comes down to it is half the point, we are paying for entertainment not to be bored.

We went from Liniker/Gazza to Sheringham/Klinsmann to Modric/Bale players who seemed like magicians, the glamour and fun has gone to be replaced by spineless paper tigers who reflect perfectly on the odd ball of a chairman we have. Maybe we were spoilt and now enjoy the level of fun most Woolwich and Spam fans are used to but it's hard to take not being the stylish team of the country.

Chicken and egg!

If the fans get behind the team more, the team will play better. If the team plays better, the fans will get behind them more. The two things cause one another.

As fans, we do not have the influence to get Levy/ENIC out of the club (irrespective of whether that would be a good thing - separate debate). And we have 12 matches to go before the transfer window opens.

So for the short-term, we have two options:

Option 1.
Take to the internet to explain exactly why our players/formation/tactics aren't working, and what we would do if we were manager. Hope that Poch gets wind of our comments, ignores the idiotic ones, takes the good ones on board, and goes to our next match with a revolutionary new line-up/formation/tactical change that might or might not see us start winning matches.

Option 2.
Get behind the team at the Lane. Stop booing, groaning and whinging, even when we're playing shit. Support unconditionally, so that our players will feel like they actually want to play for the shirt, and the away team might feel like they're actually playing away from home.

I know which option I choose.

The same stuff said by the same people day in day out, we could start our own football club with the man hours wasted on these discussions! Christ we don't even play for 11 more days too

Think someone from North America who hasn't been to WHL shouldn't comment on the atmosphere mainly for the reasons they don't understand what it's like inside WHL the fact you're not allowed to properly support, people try to create and atmosphere and get told to sit down, it's hard to get going when you're sitting down! And we the fans shouldn't have to support players that don't care for us or the club, I'd support a bunch of lads who have 100% even if they lost, it's not the fact were losing that's annoying spurs fans it's the fact players don't seem to care

When we were a 'football club' the fans felt an affinity with it & loyalty to it. The players were ike us but just a bit better at football.
Now we are customers/revenue stream of a 'business'. Tesco FC if you like.
When you are part of a club, you accept the bad times with the good as you have an 'all in it together' mentality.
When you are merely a cutomer, you want the most bang for your buck.

The powers that be want it both ways, in the good times they want to maximise revenue at the expense of the loyal support (see StubHub etc) but in the bad times they want fans to show their 'loyalty' by getting generating atmosphere/getting behind the team.

Did they give a toss about loyal supporters when they were trying to sell Memberships to one game wonders as 'a chance to get priority for CL matches' ? No.
Perhaps they could email some of them & see if they want to come back to the Lane for a sing-song.

Brilliant.

That would probably be the same fucking crowd who could never learn that you dont start clapping and speeding up the slow "Oh When" after ONE LINE.

I remember one guy trying to tell everyone that Chadli was a our new freekick specialist when he first played...another guy saw him warming up and said "whos that", and his mate replied...."you know, wa's his name....our freekick specialist"

Im guessing those fans have fucked off long ago now, and as you say, maybe the club should drop them a line so we can start smashing our 36,000 capacity again some day..
