Didn't he get sacked along with KPB a few months back?

Never heard of him before. Just been reading the comments about him in the link kindly provided by Claud601, which suggests that he was released with KPB. Some people like him and that he is fast. However he failed a medical to Frankfurt. Reckon this is journalists linking Spurs to him because why not.

Here is the latest on further digging - http://www.espnfc.com/schalke-04/story/2531416/schalke-lift-sidney-sam-suspension

Berbatov to hold Villa talks

Dimitar Berbatov will travel to Birmingham on Monday to hold face-to-face talks with Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood over a proposed move. Villa want to add more firepower to their ranks and the deal could be wrapped up within a week.

Well this can't be good...

No it ain't ok. But saying we'll lose there if we don't make any major signings, right now, is bollocks. If we lose there it will not be a major shock, that's the reality.
It's never ok for us to lose.
I ain't holding them up to be anything. I want us to win.
Make your minds up.
You say Man U have spent big and made great signings. Like we should and haven't. Yet you also say because they have spent big doesn't mean they will beat us and are untouchable?
So, is it just if we spend big we will be untouchable?
If Man U are nothing to worry about it doesn't matter who we sign form now to then does it. Our players won't be jaded this time and, as all have agreed, the defence has been sorted.
Judging by what you say it won't matter if our players won't be jaded this time because Poch will get tactically hammered.

The spend thing is a joke. Anybody trying to make out that we couldn't have been better by not making profit on transfers over the past five years just goes with the 'well we might not have been better so why bother' or 'well look at our expensive signings that haven't worked so why bother' or 'we can't compete with the top 4 so why bother' or 'we're punching above our weight in the wage table' etc.

Nobody says spend like Chelsea or United but at least try to be better by spending something if the right opportunities come along. And before all the stadium talk starts, at this rate we should pay cash for the fucker. Joking aside, it's a huge asset and incomes are bigger than ever so, it doesn't make relative player poverty a necessity (relative as in we are bottom of the net spend table).

And I'm not sure where you get that I'm the one making out they're untouchable? I'm not the one saying we get beat by them a lot so so-what if we do next week! I'm saying that's a poor attitude.

Maybe we'll lose up there because improvements to our first XI wait until the end of August? Has anybody thought about that? No, too busy saying the window is open for a month so if doesn't matter about the actual start of the season. They may be very cheap improvements by the way and, even if they're not and cost £20m, we'd still be in a zero net spend situation AGAIN.

So in other words, there is no clamour to go out and have to spend silly money we haven't got but, we do have to spend on at least two quality signings so should get it done. The longer it takes, logic tells you it's highly likely they won't be our primary targets.

Doesn't sound like Sam is a player that will be on the move…

From Schalke GM Horst Heldt about a week ago: "Sidney played a friendly yesterday and he was noticeably very fit and in shape – he showed quality in the way that he never has for us before. That shows he worked well during his summer break, which is a good foundation to start from."

It is pretty obvious our primary target this summer was to improve the defence. Kaboul and Chiriches are gone, Alderweireld, Wimmer and Trippier are signed and already have games under their belts.

"The chairman proposed a challenge to increase Tottenham'scompetitive level, but immediately Modric left and we didn't get any of the targets I had identified, such as Joao Moutinho, Willian, Oscar or Leandro"

There's your quote asshole. Or are you going to try and deny this to????
The fact Willian chose not to link up with WHN again speaks volumes.

Moutinho he signed for Porto so you'd have thought he'd have had some idea about the 3rd party thing.

Leandro well we really missed out there.....
