FT 5-3, Spurs stay 5th as other teams around us also won today.

Spurs included 2 x Spurs u15's in the starting line up (Byfield and Williams-Barnett), with 2 x u16's also starting in Hardy and Adewole and they were joined by a 3rd u16 in Thompson (GK) on 50 mins.

So a very young side

Crystal Palace u21's v Spurs u21's

Last u21 Squad
Gunter, Kyerematen, King, Cassanova, Dorrington (Ashcroft 72), Abbott (c), John, Hall (Akhamrich 75), Lankshear (Williams 83), Donley, Santiago (Linton 83).
Substitute (not used): Archer.

The last PL2 match of the season in the regular league. But having finished top of it, this match is a dead rubber, and we have an important u21 match on Thursday - semi final of u21 PL Cup.

So it would make sense to rest a few u21 players so they are fresh on Thursday, just 3 days later.

But there aren't too many other u21's available other than those who started on the bench - Andiyapan, McKnight but not too many others. And u18's played on Saturday, so not too many of them will be fresh for this game - the exception possibly being Mikey Moore but he's been training with first team so might not be as familiar with u21 players as might be ideal.

So the starting line up could be interesting. And I'd guess the players might also be thinking of Thursday rather than the usual focus on the dead rubber game to play on Monday !

He couldn't, could he ? Huge experience just being part of the matchday squad, maybe take part in pre-match warm up etc. ........ in what is one of THE biggest high profile matches of the season in PL.

Mikey still 16 !

If you’re going to put Gil on the bench, might as well put Mikey on instead. we know not much chance of getting on but if we are well ahead with 2 minutes left , could be a nice touch.
What am I saying!

Ideal game to bench him first time IMO.

Ideal game for a debut if winning as Perryman says above. With Maddison’s lack of form and any real senior like for like replacement, would be happy for him getting a bench spot (on/off until a good debut moment occurs) the rest of the season (Donleys nose might be put out, but think he needs a loan to speed up his game and has had cameos already).

The super talented should get a taste early, keep the motivation high and feel acknowledged as one we believe in.
