Now that we've got our full team back and Harry is scoring I haven't given up hope of the title!

The Chavs have got to come to the Lane yet and Conte won't fancy another ear wigging from Poch!

:pochserious2:

Let's get Utd and our holiday fixtures sorted, soon see where we are, we can catch City as they seem to be faltering. Woolwich are surely due to have their annual implosion. The Dippers may score for fun, but they cannot defend for toffee.

Love your optimism Baz. On our day, we can beat any team in that league. We bossed the Chavs for 45 minutes, for example. I think our consistency is the possible downfall, but what a young bunch of stars we have . I'm certainly not ruling it out,but I'm still very happy with the direction we are going. I'd be delighted to finish in the top 6 & win a cup. We don't offer the same £££ as some clubs in wages so the players need medals to keep them. Imagine the same team playing at the new Lane in 2 years time? More experience, some of them filled out a bit, & Poch with more experience under his belt. All hungry for success. It's lip smacking. After all, the game is about glory. More nights like last night please. Goals, domination & excitement. These are good times, despite the odd blip.

Nice to see some optimism, but in reality don't think we will see 2 easier games in a week ever again.

Still it is a good confidence boost. the fans will be singing again and the players will be flying. We have some potential banana skin fixtures but the City Vs Woolwich game is one to watch out for as we can gain some decent ground if we do what's expected of us.

Toby back, Kane, Eriksen and Alli coming into form.

Fuck it! Ive convinced myself.

WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE!!

Was great to see Eriksen back to somewhere near his best. Thought he had a great game.
Winks is showing all the signs of being a very good player.
Highlight of the night was Toby coming on, what a sight that was.

The opposition were bad but it was a good showing and good signs that Poch will take the Europa seriously.

Only negative was how poor Dier was/is at CB.. Toby needs to stay fit.

Just watching the recording of the match and Jenas and the commentator are right cunts. They have been watching the Cl games at Wembley haven't they.
They have spouted some nonsense like teams are finding it easy to carve spurs prt in the CL?
I remember Monaco having 3 chances no scoring 2 . 2 of them soft gifts.
Leverkusen, can't remember them carving us apart and creating lots of decent chances either. 2 think and they scored from one.
Last night they had 2 chances and scored one.
This has been more about us not taking our chances and starting nervously.
Maybe Monaco away we were peppered a bit. Then again we had 3 of our four 1st choice back line
Also our goal was offside yet tosic wasn't?

Jenas needs to reel it in a bit. When he started off as a pundit, I thought "top lad" but he is getting infected with meaningless & inaccurate cliche syndrome. Basically, I think it's lazy. Got to say something, so trot out a well worn cliche whether it's accurate, misinformed or downright bollocks.

Talking of optimism.... :dierpochhug:

We can only beat what is put in front of us, players are starting to find some form again, have to be optimistic about that? Surely now is as good a time to be playing Utd on the back of two comprehensive batterings.

Or put another way. They have still to play tonight, & I am sure that their fans aren't relishing facing a team that has scored 8 goals in the past week & is just hitting its stride. Not one bit. (A Mourinho 0-0 looms...)

The cloud was the problem, no?

On a similar note, there was some eggy arsed fucker in 140. Me & my lad almost had a row because I was sure it was him (he's a foul arsed cunt sometimes) & he was convinced it was me (so am I). Ah well, won't ever know now, but it weren't me. At least I don't think it was. And if it was, my underpants were still intact.:avbnaa:

Back to the egginess, my kid kept trumping and I had to ask him to stop as it was stinking our block 108 out :pochbye:

Which is paying us massive respect that he will do whatever it takes to try and nullify our play. They have got players that can hurt us, I'm sure we're more than capable of dealing with them. Also Dier will be wanting to have a quiet word with Herrera.

oh and the Wembley curse, it's not home etc etc. Of course it isn't home it's not whl. Yet we really had no choice did we. Wherever we played was not going to be home.
Also next season we will not be at home and playing in a ground that doesn't feel like home.
These cunts state the obvious.
Where were we supposed to play?
I also hate the comparison with Woolwich as they didn't really have to play their CL games away from Highbury . They had a 38k capacity and just wanted more.

People saying it's a money grabbing exercise, have they not realised we still have to pay rent for using Wembley. Surely the money grabbing exercise would have to play at WHL and charge through the nose. We the fans were given a fairly cheap opportunity to see Tottenham play in the CL thus creating the highest recorded attendance for an English side in the competition.

Also White Hart Lane did not meet required UEFA certification for CL match or some safety reason? Although we could play Europa matches there?

For me "lazy" was his trademark as a player

He had the ability and I loved his goal at the Emirates in the 4-4, notable in our household for me turning down an early night!!

No contest really and worth it when the 4th went in!!

What really done me in was when he said that Dele should be scoring from there from his first chance, he has to score. Actually thought that was a decent header.
Coming from an attacking creative midfielder like Jenas who wasn't exactly a prolific finisher at any of his clubs. Especially in his 8 yrs with us.
Can't recall him burying many headers from 10 yards out either.

That's the only thing I think of when Jenas is mentioned. Mad when he had 8 yrs with us that this is the most memorable incident.
He was also seen as a bit of a bottle job.
Thought he couldn't see a pass and took too much time on the ball myself. Averaged about 3 goals per year
Don't dislike him really I just thought the commentary I was listening to today was really poor.

It's hard not to though when you have to speak over a game for 90 minutes.

Thing is he has stiff competition there

Smith, Owen, Savage,

Pundits like Shearer, Lineker, Murphy, Carragher, Giggs

Come back Alan Hansen all is forgiven!

Excluding the English teams and the teams in our group that we could not have played, not many teams we would have confidently said we will get through to the next round had we of qualified.

CM was just a waste for him....never understood how he ended up there. In our set up now, he'd do alright as one of the three AMs behind Kane I reckon

Purely regarding Jenas as a commentator/pundit... what does he do??
