Saw this stadium ITK post on SC. Make of it what you will.

"Being based in the MK area, I had an interesting conversation with one of the stadium non sporting event consultants over the weekend. According to her, Tottenham Hotspur are finalising plans for moving out of WHL at the start of the 16/17 season. Subject to premier league AND Fifa approval, the aim is to play 14 league games at stadium MK, 4 at Wembley Stadium, and 1 in either Toronto or Chicago. The lady in question is most definately not bullshitting, but how accurate the information is that was passed on to her is anyones guess. She also said she had no idea as to where european and domestic cup games would be staged."
Playing abroad? :pochserious:That would set a dangerous precedent, even if it's a one-off.

And while we're about it, how about a ground loosely based on Dortmund's Westfalenstadion. £15 tickets in photo 3. :levylol: I know, seeing the doctor later. :klinsmann:

Saw this stadium ITK post on SC. Make of it what you will, but it kinda backs up what I heard. The 4 games at Wembley make sense given the limitations of use, and the Toronto/Chicago idea seems very Levyesque. Anyway, all very interesting.

If this happens.it'll be fuckingc embarrassing.

Do you mean the game abroad, or the the whole proposal?
All of it. I wa just starting to get my head around the idea of spending a year in Milton Keynes, but heading to Wembley for four matches, adding the overseas game and STILL having nothing for cup games - fuck me - what am absolute money grabbing embarrassment that truly is.

That's modern football though. The 4 games at Wembley are easy to guess, and the game abroad will be a money spinner. I was done on modern football a while back, but people will say that there is a stadium to pay for, and at the end of the day, there is.

Is it? Name one other club that has done this? Seriously this would be a ground-breaking for football (no pun intended). Certainly in British football anyway. But there is no precedent for this. It would be a new low for football with Tottenham leading the way. It would be absolutely disgraceful, there will be nothing we can do about it, the club will be a laughing stock.

To be honest, if that's true, I think that'd be me pretty much done.

Mate, calm down, I couldn't give a fuck either way, I just posted some shit I saw on SC. I don't agree with it either, but surely you can see why the Prem would see this as a 'toe in the water for their '39th game' fiasco. I think Levy would be keen for Spurs to be at the forefront of this. I am not arguing with you.

I know you aren't arguing with me Joe - and I am not arguing with you either. I just can't hide my disgust at this plan - a rumour maybe, but totally believable at the same time.

Yes, agreed. My points about it making sense were not meant to be an endorsement, and I think you saw that. You put it well - a very believable rumour.

Whether you like it or not being the first to try something like this isn't out of character for the club, there are loads of examples of us being the first or amongst the instigators to push on the commercialisation of the game.

I agree with that. I think that sits well with the hierarchy, regardless of what we think.

That's a bit of a club myth. We may have been the first FCPLC but that's it.

Either way, there has to be a point where we say "enough" to the board, to the Premier League. ENIC might own the club, but it's our club. We keep it going and we take the stick everything the players, manager or executives fuck up. There has to be a point where we say "no-more" and if this isn't it then when will it ever be?
