Can't wait to stand in the new Paxton Kop (trying to start a name here), hope the club will be wise enough to give 1882 and other loud 'crowds' designated areas.

I wonder where the rowdy bunch is going to settle, on Shelf I recall the north corner as being most vocal, but my old man claimed it was only from the late 70's and before that the park lane was the place to stand

This is just getting ridiculous now...there's a woman drinking a coffee along with a beer, and a guy eating a whole tray of some fancy shit...the greed of rich people.

Paxton was quite vocal when I was a kid. Had its little gathering.
I always remember the shelf being more vocal at the south end, kind of middle to south east.

People who think the corporates will keep the ticket prices down. :levylol:
Remains to be seen. Yet that's how the cheapest STs at Spam are subsidised.

yet we have to pay for our stadium
I have been surprised with the pricing of the European games , I suppose he could have picked our pockets a bit more for the CL with all that's going on. Yet we offered the cheapest in the PL
We may be pleasantly surprised:levyeyes:

Definitely when I started going 90/1 the Paxton was more vocal. It was the last 'terrace' (aside from the small slither on the shelf which lasted one extra season I think). Look at the crowd surges that end when Gazza scores a ridiculous goal, it was great being in the thick of that. - Though as a child I had to be at the front/side.
The Park Lane only became the perceived place to be when the Paxton became the 'family' stand, sometime in the late 90s/00s? It's not the family end more but it has never properly recovered.
Personally I still see the Paxton as 'our' end. That's why we warm up that side, and typically shoot towards it in the 2nd half.

People seem to think that we don't have any Corp. stuff at the Lane already?

We currently have 13 corp areas at The Lane. Many of the prices are actually the same price as the new stadium (per game basis), the notable increases are getting a membership fee from these punters (99% of which put the cost through their companies anyway) it's the premium seats only are more money, but are sold benefits to exclusive bars and dinning areas all charged as extra.

Only a few things that bothers me is 1) these tickets/packages are sold for the highest prices in the world and because of that Tottenham are able to keep GA tickets prices down. I've no idea if this is the objective but given the ticket prices we have been charged at Wembley, I for the first time in about 30 years am cautiously optimistic that the tickets will be affordable. 2) The worst thing about corp is their guests, these guests are often not supporters of our club or even like football, just there because their company was dishing out tickets for employee of the month or some such bullshit or a company specialising in corp tickets has bought the packages and is flogging them to anyone with a coin 3) There will be more of them (non-football or supporter of another team on a free jolly). 4) Away ticket allocation, the packages appear to include a higher allocation to the corp bunch. Mind you despite being an ST myself and a reasonable amount of points accumulated I've given up applying for away tickets as its a complete and utter waist of time.

Bottomline for me is I rarely have any dealings with the corp set, nothing will change that in the new stadium. In fact it appears it will be even better seeing as everything will be done to create an epic experience in the singe tier stand.

Fair enough that people are indifferent towards what the corporate elite are chowing down on, but to think that the direction the club is pushing the new stadium won't have an effect on the average fans match day experience is naive.

The amount of attention being lavished on the future corporate facilities worries me as it suggests where the clubs priorities lie.

I appreciate that is the way of modern football, and i appreciate that Levy is doing what needs to be done to pay for the stadium as quickly as possible and to future proof it. If he's still looking to generate interest from potential sponsors then polished fixtures and Michelin stars is the way to do it. Plus this project is his legacy and he wants to show off his shiny bits as a big fuck you to the competition.

But ,for me, every corporate seat / bar stool / beanbag / massage table equates to one less proper Yiddo in the ground.

Apart from the obvious financial rewards; how does a "cheese selection room" help to generate the intensity and passion required to score a last minute goal or stretch that extra inch to keep a ball from crossing the line. How does it help the "New White Hart Lane (Your Name Here!)" become a fortress that away teams and suporters fear to tread?

Let's see some rail-seating Daniel San?? Lets see a statement announcing the end to the Stub Hub partnership, details on disabled access, commitment to tickets (or even season tickets!) for schools. Lets see some favourable "everyman" ticket pricing for those whose hard earned money has put the club in it's current privileged position by supporting it through wind and rain during year upon year of underachievement.

It's crunch time. The move to the new stadium will be the true litmus test of Levy's legacy and final affirmation of where his priorities as a businessman / supporter ultimately lie.

Surely we're going to have one of the stands named after Bill Nicholson?

Interesting the AIA sponsorship in the background. Most pics I've seen have been generic as we don't know who the sponsor will be yet. Does this hint that it might be AIA?

Bit premature mate. They are only selling corp/exec seats, hence that is why all you can see in the 'stuff" about the stadium.

I am not a fan of this type of football experience (actually any corp sporting experience), I just don't like it, but I have done it numerous times over the years and I had even held exec ST at Spurs for about 4yrs whilst I was on the waiting list for my 'normal' ST to come through. I can vouch for one thing, 99% of the people I met in the lounges were just as passionate and obsessed with Spurs as me and you. You paint these people as not "proper Yiddos" you couldn't be further from the truth. They have more money, that's it. The problem is the non-Spurs fan that attends or even worse a non football fan, this is the issue with corp seating, that's why they are still quaffing their wine and cheese ten minutes into the 2nd half. That's where the atmosphere takes a hit and yes there will be more of them no doubt in the new stadium. But seriously the people in the lounges I met (and a few box holders too) travelled home and away and in Europe, never missing a game.

The more I see this place the more I think we surely cannot let any West Ham scum in surely? They will just ruin it

Woolwich on the other hand will be taking selfies with all the sparkly new stuff, completely oblivious

Maybe I came across a little vitriolic! I'm not saying that the corporate seats will be the death of our club as we know it, just that they need to readdress the balance with regard to the promotional stuff by announcing something for the average match day fan, other than a "food court" or some such....

And i have no issue with the Spurs businessmen with a bit of extra dosh who want to watch the game in a little extra comfort. But we both know that a large number of these high level seats will be sold to commercial enterprises, advertising agencies, sports management companies, credit cards, etc...etc... and hence the people attending the games will be more interested in what's for pudding than they will be in the result of the match.

Its exactly the same issue i have with standard price stubhub tickets and why the last two times i've been to the Lane i've been sat next to day trippers (and there increasingly bored mrs's) in half and half scarves.

There is some truth in what you say, sure there will be more non-football fans going in the corp seats as this section is larger (I think than currently). So, first of all they are looking to get every single current corp/exec ticket hold to buy into the new stadium, and as I said in my post almost all of these are passionate and obsessed Spurs fans just as we are. So how many more does the new stadium cater for? 1,000-2,000 or in other words 3 or 4% of the entire stadium?

But the stadium is going to be twice the size, yes more non-football fans will go but twice as many Spurs fans will also go. I keep my fingers crossed that we do deals for kids and local Tottenham residents too, but there are tens of thousands of Spurs fans who don't go to WHL now because they can't get tickets, or can't jump through the hoops each week to get one (Stub-hub, tout or have to plan like a military leader to make sure they log into the website on the right day/time in the hope they can snap up a ticket). There are far more ordinary fans (approx 35% more) waiting for the new stadium to be built than corp customers (only 3% more).

It's only a couple of months before the rest of us find out about our tickets as the club have to make an announcement about Wembley in March. I would guess we would find out what the plans are for tickets in Wembley and then how that knocks onto the new place.
