Any thoughts on what you would like remembered in the new stadium from our past
The obvious ones are the double winning side, Bill Nick, Chas and Dave etc
But what about more off the beaten track.
The fella that suggested the school boys who founded the club came up with a beauty.A statue opposite the current shop would be superb IMHO.
I'd like to see Walter Tull remembered as well, not a statue but in some way.
Any other ideas?

Our fanbase is larger than CFC's.
This is so true yet so many choose not to believe it. It`s the reason their owners hate and fear us so much. They can`t understand why, despite all the billions pumped into the club, and the trophies they have bought, we still have bigger fan base (at least in the UK) than them. Also I`m convinced we have the potential to be bigger than Woolwich. As I have said before, my line of work means I have moved countless times across the midlands and southwest of England, and in every place, bar none, I have come across far more Spurs than Woolwich. And thats despite their recent dominance on the pitch. The potential of Spurs is massive.

I fear it won't be the case for long though. Seems like about 50% of the under 14 population of London support Chelsea these days.

Wow I haven't read a single word in this thread until now and I see ol' greavsie talking about us getting sent to the conference hahahahahaha

And West Ham won't become a powerhouse because they have a new stadium. Sure they'll have a little more money but as far as I'm aware they aren't going to spend 100's of millions and pay players astronomical wages to attract top players to join them over better clubs like City and chelsea have. And they don't have the status that we or Liverpool do that will make players want to join them over us. Until one of those two things happen then they'll be stuck in mid table like they've been doing.

I don't know but I think he was referring to the possibility of some rich bugger buying them out a la Citeh , Citeh have / had a rented stadium etc

Can't copy the picture from Facebook but just seen a seating plan that shows what will be standard seating and what will be hospitality. Besides the middle tiers, the whole two blocks on the halfway line in lower tier of the shelf will be hospitality.

Sat in this are for almost 15 years in the current lane. Surrounded by proper yids, some old boys who've been there for 30 years or more. I was all for the new stadium but this has really fucked me off and tells me exactly where the owners priorities lie

Don't know what you expected really. It's quite clear from the plans the more vocal section of support will end up in the single tier stand.

You can't reasonably expect them to replicate the seating arrangement of the old ground in the new one.

It looks like a better solution than the middle tier of corporate that they have at the Emirates and Wembley.

There are 8,000 corporate seats in the leaked seating plan. There are over 10,000 at the Emirates, in a slightly smaller stadium.

I think the ratio is reasonable. I would rather have all the corpies grouped together on the halfway line that spread all the way round in a middle tier like the Emirates. Will help the atmosphere.

The single tier stand is great, but not for people who like to sit on the sides. Especially the older folk who don't like to stand too much. Just feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth to loyal supporters who have sat/stood here for years . It feels elitist, like normal fans now aren't allowed the seats with the best views unless you have bags of money. I know its the modern way and it is a business but it just doesn't sit right with me. I'd rather they were tucked away in a middle tier.

I've always found the best areas of the lane aren't the ones on the halfway line anyway.

Quite hard to say without seeing the diagram though, be good to have a look. Know where it came from?

Heres what she thinks of a groundshare

i read this post somewhere else.
do those figures look right?
if so i didnt realise how big we are.

Woolwich: 40k people on the waiting list and and 35K with season tickets.
Chelsea:have 25k people with season tickets and do not have a waiting list.
Liverpool: have 28K season ticket holders and 25k people on a waiting list.
Manchester United: 35k on season ticket waiting list and 52k season ticket holders.
Manchester City: 3K on season ticket waiting list with 35k season ticket holders.
Tottenham: 47K on waiting list and 23k season ticket holders.
This list has surprised me a bit as i had thought that Chelsea and city would have more fans on the waiting list and was surprised by the size of the spurs waiting list. Also i thought as Liverpool being the "biggest club in England" would have a lot more people on there waiting list.

This list has led me to the conclusion despite what the media tell us. the most supported teams in England are Man united Woolwich and spurs. And when i say most supported i don't mean global fan base i mean fans in England.
No those figures don't look right. Anyone who thinks we're bigger then United, Woolwich and Liverpool are deluding themselves. Sure, they're all cunts, but they're bigger clubs. Chelsea certainly are worldwide, and City won't be far behind.

Using season ticket waiting lists to compare fanbases does not work either. Using Spurs as an example, we put anyone who buys a membership or walks/drives/flies with 12 miles of the ground on our waiting list. They're not waiting, I can assure you.

Secondly, with this, geography plays its part. I would expect the other clubs to have a much wider spread of support, in heavier numbers. Therefore, the large number of, say, Chelsea fans living in Sterlingshire aren't going to be on a season ticket waiting list, nor the vast number of United fans in London and every fucking where else. It simply isn't logical for them to be.

I really wouldn't read much into it, mate. I'd like to see a source for those figures, in any case.

I think it must be from a planning meeting or something and someone sneaked a photo on their phone:

not very clear but yellow is hospitality, blue normal and red away. I must say the south stand does look class in that plan though when you see the scale. Also looks like Paxton is 3 tiers, no corporate which I didn't know before. I do love how the ground isn't unified all around like other new stadiums.
