I think I prefer him to LVG now, as mad as it sounds.

LVGs credentials speak for themselves but Ive a nagging feeling he wouldnt work here. At Utd he probably would, but not Spurs. He would fuck the players off no end and goad the press onto our backs. Doing the same thing at Utd he would whip them into shape and be a media darling...

FDB seems a much better fit, IMO

Sorry, but this makes no logical sense. Why can he pick up one set of players but not another?

Utd are used to a dictatorial old bugger in charge, they would respond to it IMO.
Spurs has a different culture. Look what happened to Ramos when he took away Thudds ketchup.
Utd are the biggest draw in the country, the media prefer to fawn over them.
They simply hate us and love to build an agenda against.

Different clubs, different circumstance.

There is no real basis for me to feel that he wouldnt work here aside intuition and seeing how "friendly" coaches fare better. Its a gut feel - I think FDB would actually fit in here, I think LVG wouldnt integrate

Can anyone explain the Red Bull Salzburg and PEC Zwolle capitulations in 2 of the cup competitions Ajax were in this season?

Everyone seems to forget that FdB has indicated that he wants to stay at Ajax for 5-10 years. He is part of a big project. After some shite years with a terrible board Cruyff took over. FdB became trainer, Overmars tech manager, Van der Sar director and so on. There were lawsuits, LVG was brung in and then kicked out with a LOT of turmoil. All in all, there is masterplan that will start once the current 16year old lads will make it to the first team because they are 100% trained to the Ajax philisophy. (Lads like Eriksen and Fischer came in at 16). He will want to wait for that

I highly doubt FdB will be interested NOW. He said, last year, he thinks Tottenham and Liverpool are nice teams and great opportunities but he wasnt interested... yet.

Main issue for him will be Levy I think. He needs serious backing and time. Expect one season of shaping the team, very mixed results etc. Anyway, better leave him alone. We need him. Ajax is seriously fucking shite if you go over each player individually. Still 4 titles in a row... Beating ManU, ManC, Barca.

Still sad that we have to be proud of single wins nowdays..

Salzburg is crazy good. Think they will impress next CL. Ajax had no idea how to deal with their power football. Seemed like they were on meth instead of redbull. Ajax was shite obv as well

Zwolle was terrible. They played the game of their lifes, every shot went in etc. Ajax was horrible. Scored 1-0 in 3th minute, already started celebrating.

Young team, lot of swings..

So if Man Utd offered him the job tomorrow he would stay to see this project through??????

Could be. He turned down Liverpool last year. Think Tottenham as well. Barca might be a different story but the politics are not in his favor there. Bit crazy nowdays but he has 3 daughters who are in college in Amsterdam, his wife owns a furniture store in Amsterdam (funny note; he delivers furniture if it's busy). They don't want to leave. He doesnt want to go without them. He is already loaded, everyone loves him in Holland. He is a young manager...

Fair play to him if he does see it through.

Also, I'm after a new dining room table and chairs, are his prices reasonable?

If FDB does stay for the purpose of his family and an in progress project then he deserves credit.
There are too many mercenaries in the game so if anyone shows any sort of loyalty than it should be applauded.

Amsterdam from here is nothing! He can commute!

The Dutch season finishes on Saturday, Ajax just won the title - so hopefully Levy is on the case and ready to make a move ASAP

Fox Sports claims Tottenham have contacted Ajax to take over Frank de Boer. The article further states that FDB wants to make a decision only after the last game against NEC.

Lets hope there's any truth to this.

NL are reporting on Monday afternoon that Ajax coach Frank de Boer is now the number 1 managerial target for Tottenham.
The news was broken on the Dutch media outlet’s website in an very short, succinct post.

According to the report, “Tottenham Hotspur are interest in Ajax coach Frank de Boer… DeBoer is considering the offer, but he will only tie the knot after the last league match against NEC. Ajax’s De Boer has previous said he wants to stay at Ajax”.

De Boer’s stock is now high after he guided the Amsterdam giants to a fourth successive Eredivisie title over the weekend.

What seems nailed-on for certain now is that Louis van Gaal will no longer be the next Tottenham manager now that Manchester United are in talks with the Dutch coach.

What about him with VDV as his number two... yummmmm

He's an unknown quantity...

But if history shows us anything, it's that manager's past success mean fap all at spurs, and if we did well under Jol, and yet Jol < De Boer, then that's got to be good.

Bad Points: We'll get trolled if we lose a match with people calling our manager "De Bore". It's a Newspaper headline/Twitter tag thing waiting to happen

Frank de Boer can be roughly translated as Francis the Pig. An unusual event happens approximately every 1882 years in the Chinese calender. The year of the Cockerel overlaps with the year of the Pig. This extremely rare event is due to take place during the Full moon period of 2 June to 5 June this year.
