The bit about Sherwood is worrying
None of it is worrying. It's just a bloke who writes stuff on a website.
I will now rewrite this article in < 100 words:
¶1. Spurs did not make the CL. It would have been better if they had.
¶2. No sale on Bale, either.
¶3. Modrić will want out.
¶4. People make shit up and sometimes use the name "Harry Redknapp".
¶5. I'm serious. People make shit up!
¶6. I will now BREAK YOUR MIND by telling you that Redknapp is not a brilliant manager.
¶7. Now I make myself look ridiculous by saying only extremists think Harry is tactically naïve.
¶8. Remember when I said people make shit up? As a concern troll, I DO TOO!
I think the main 'shield' to arm ourselves with here is to simply get used to it over the next 3 months... Take it like the men we are, and let the rest wash over you...
Make no mistake, it's gonna be relentless and non-stop now until SOMEONE leaves THFC or SOMEONE arrives here...
until EITHER of those things happen, the Press will have a field day at our expense, Spurs fans will wake up each morning scared to look at the back pages, and Chelsea/Man City will sign who the fuck they want 'cos THEY'RE Champions League clubs with a bottomless pit of filthy Mafia/Oil money and fuck all conscience!
Get the tin-helmets and sand-bags out boys... We're all in this together... a Battalion is only as strong as its' weakest Soldier... WE HAVE TO STAY STRONG... TOGETHER!
...or put another way...
KEEP CALM AND LOL!
We'll still be Tottenham in August!
Tim Sherwood? No thanks. Only get rid of Redknapp is there's someone credible lined up to replace him. Otherwise don't destabalise.
Anyhow, the article is all a load of wank anyway. Any of us could've written it. It contains no indication that the author is privy to information or speculation that we are not.
There's been stories going around before that Sherwood is highly thought of by the board. I hope thats bullshit
no we couldn't... I'd like to THINK that most of us on here have more intelligence than the bandwagon-jumping moron who wrote this shite!!
I would fucking piss myself laughing if Chelsea hired Redknapp......it's literally the ONLY scenario which will guarantee we finish above them next season
What a fucking pointless article, a rehash of info you can glean from newsnow.
How is there a black hole in the budget when CL entry is never budgeted in?
'Award winning writer'
He'll not win many more with crap like that.
Really? The ONLY scenario....? what about a scenario whereby Redknapp was OUR manager, and AVB, followed briefly by Roberto Di Matteo was their manager...?
THAT seemed to do the trick last time!
In the same way that Razzies are award...
He basically condensed all of last summer's rumours into one article. Must work on tenses. C-
Personally, I enjoyed reading that, it was well written and quite engaging. Though it has to be said that the author is preaching his stuff to the wrong crowd, scare tactics don't work on those who are keeping calm and lol-ing.
Well that would depend on the age. And how we measure intelligence. As if they are a spotty little troll then according to the 37 qualifications (that all mean fuck all as we well know) that they will probably have, we my friend are most likely to be "dumb". Doesn't change the fact they're probably a bigger c*&t though.
An ok article on F365 about Redknapp Levy and Joe Lewis sharing the blame....some nonsense in there to be fair, but this paragraph was pretty much bang on:
When the transfer window opened, Spurs sat just six points behind the two Manchester clubs with a game in hand on both. Harry is notoriously self-promoting, but he was not alone within the game in considering Tottenham genuine title contenders. Within that window, the club brought in Yago Falque (immediately loaned to Southampton), Ryan Nelsen (aged 34) and Louis Saha (aged 33). The latter two purchases were both on free transfers, and both players had chequered injury records. At the same time, Vedran Corluka, Sebastien Bassong, Steven Pienaar and Roman Pavlyuchenko all departed from White Hart Lane. No matter how it was dressed up, Spurs were weakened during that month of opportunity.
Well if you have more intelligence then clearly writing shite is within your talents because you are also able to do so much more?
Whilst I don't disagree with the sentiment Redknapp had shown in the first half of the season that he wouldn't have used those players anyway so they were irrelevant to our final league position.
I wouldn't say that's entirely true. Pienaar, Pav and Corluka all got run outs under Harry, albeit as subs. What if Pav had come in in some of our later league games and scored a key goal? He'd certainly done it in previous seasons.
