I'm hearing rumours from a 'pool fan at work that Alex has left our youth setup to take over as reserve team manager at Anfield.

Would be a shame if this is true as always felt he's a very decent coach when working with the youngsters.

Been rumoured for a while. Would be a shame given how well the youths have been doing.

It's understandable really. Bigger role at the new club from what I've heard, and knowing 'Pool probably a little bit more money. Not a terrible crop of youngsters to work with either (though they have nothing on our Next Gen/U21 lads obviously)

Just hope the guy who takes over from him can keep up his excellent work.
