Why spend any time at all finding ways to hate other teams when it´s far more productive to support Tottenham? Like it or not, we´re in a league, and we have to mix with the other teams. This doesn´t produce hate in itself. I mean, you don´t have to like other team(s) in particular, but you don´t have to actively hate them either. Is there a middle ground though, one where you hate another team, but in a non-active way? I think this is where most people fall when it comes to footballing hate, including myself. So, after 30 years, I bask in the glory of a uniquely wonderful season (so far). And even if it all falls apart tomorrow, the wheels come off, the rot sets in, I will look back on 20 games and touching distance of the ceiling towards the end of January and feel good about it. All this is well and good. But there´s something more. If we were to sign Demba Ba in an effort to consolidate our striking force, we´d be denying Newcastle of their goal supply. One which has brought them within touching distance of top-4 so far. I would rather see him get the Toon army in amongst the first 7 position, and, with any luck, deny one of ChelArseLiv a chance at a euro spot. Hopefully Arse though. On the other hand, if we were to sign Ba Ba, and he continued to provide goals, things could indeed be gloriouser still, and fuck everyone else.
