  1. Competition The Non League Football Thread ⚽

Well, this is true, though I would add their keeper made 2 excellent saves on the early part of the game. Frankly it didn't spoil the day for me, Chesham being a conference team has taken 31 years of toil and I feel fairly magnanimous as a result! I think without home advantage Bracknell are...
  2. Management Ange Postecoglou

Had a discussion with a fellow fan and the phrase came up that Ange is naive (which gets trotted out quite a bit)... My response: He's been a manager for too long to be naive, he believes possession football should produce enough goals to win a game and that the overloads are worth the risk, on...
  3. Competition The Non League Football Thread ⚽

Ahh - I'm a season ticket holder at both Spurs and Chesham - sucker for punishment! I say that, a season ticket at Chesham United is pretty damn good value, to put that in perspective, since 2021/22 season Chesham have lost just 4 league games at home, that's tiny 4 losses in 62 matches.
  4. Competition The Non League Football Thread ⚽

https://twitter.com/waltonhershamfc/status/1777428807600767129 I know there's one or two here with a passing interest in W&H, this seems like a baffling decision..
  5. Management Levy / ENIC

I can't help thinking that the new investment idea is a non story, new investment does not mean new money for transfers, it could easily be about financing the new hotel or new development around the stadium, investing in things that are more likely to return profit.
  6. Match West Ham v Tottenham Hotspur | Premier League | Tues 2nd April | 8:15pm

I want to rant about set pieces, we seem to be perfectly able to let goals in from corners, yet we don't create any decent chances at all. In games like today, those set pieces make the difference, there wasn't one testing shot on Fabianski in the second half, what's the point in possession if...

  10. Match Tottenham Hotspur v Luton. 3pm 30/3/24

Hmm. I think we were just wasteful in taking our chances throughout the game and that made it much tougher to watch than it should have been. Performance wasn't terrible, we needed to be quicker in our passing moves, sometimes just a bit more direct, there were moments where we were trying to...
  11. Match Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 10th March

As much as Sonny scored a lovely goal and got 2 assists, I thought Udogie was monstrous for us today.
  12. Match Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 10th March

I would take off Sarr, not because he's had a bad game, just don't trust the ref.
  13. Match Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 10th March

the first goal will come from one of the teams making a mistake passing out of defence, feel we're more likely to make the mistake.
  14. Stadium New Stadium

Just as a slight counter to this, I did see quite a few South Korean fans at Spurs when Sonny was playing in the Asian Games, that did go against my expectations.
  15. Management Levy / ENIC

The thing that gets me is that the club are raising more revenues from F1 karting, the skywalk, the concerts, the boxing and NFL, all of those could be used to supplement or mitigate the season ticket holder/match day fan's ticket prices. The argument is that doing that would keep the regular...

The non-League club pushing for promotion - with help from Taskmaster's Alex Horne Appreciate it is paywalled but a good article for those with the athletic.
  17. Match Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace - Sat. 2nd March 3pm

Travel information | Spurs vs Crystal Palace | Tottenham Hotspur Travelling to the game on Saturday? - Northumberland Park is closed - going to be some fun and games there!
  18. Competition The Non League Football Thread ⚽

https://twitter.com/TUFC1899/status/1760652890966835251 Torquay United apply to go in to Administration, if they find a new owner in time they stand a fair chance of survival in the Conference South, they've fallen a long way however.
  19. Stadium Astropay

I think that's rubbish, I have got cashback at any food or drink outlet inside the stadium every other time, have the same issue with a drinks purchase for the Wolves game, however I got my train refunded for that day, likely it will take a while to catch up with itself!
  20. Stadium Astropay

Been using it since the Burnley game and it's been pretty good, barring one slip on paying cashback. The 20% on food and drink works and that does take the price of it all down, but you only get a maximum of £10 back per month on this promotion, so after the first £50 spent it stops, So you can...
