Bit confused about Joy Mukena, he does seem to be signing a contract there but he was born in March 2000 which means he won't turn 16 for another 9 months. He should still have another year of school left and be part of the U16s. How can he be turning fulltime this summer?

If he tries to sign with another English club presumably we'll be able to get some substantial compo. Not only has he been with us for years but he's benefited from some of the finest coaching and facilities anywhere in football and he's widely seen as one of the most, if not THE most talented young footballers to have come through in a good while with plenty of England honours already.

I know in the great scheme of things it would still sting mightily to watch him saunter of to Liverpool (who I understand he supports) or Chelski for as little as £3m but at least it won't be for free. They also tend to add on plenty of clauses to these deals as well so if he manages to sort himself out and achieve success whereever he goes we should do relatively well out of it. The moral of the story though is that youngters like this rarely actually go on to achieve their potential. There are one or two who have but in the case of the likes of Ibrahimovic his arrogance and stubborness was often mistaken for not taking his career seriously, but the truth couldn't be more different. Zlatan & Messi might have been a pair of dicks on their way up but they worked their arses off and delivered when it mattered. Thats what seperates them from the likes of the Ravel Morrison's of this world.

Self belief won't be enough for Edwards. If he starts thinking he's owed it he'll come unstuck.

CCV with another great performance but clearly got PK lessons from Ade.

Cant comment much on Veljkovic other than he seemed like a very good vocal leader. Not much attacking against him.

yes, it seemed like every time Serbia kicked the ball his way, the ball came right back out. Also made a great clearance off the goal-line.

Veljkovic AND 2CV both missed penalties? Spursy.
Just saw the match report and thought exactly the same thing!!

The Spurs team-mates both played the full 120 minutes as the game went into extra time after a goalless draw in Auckland, New Zealand.
Serbia edged it over the 120 minutes but the match went to a penalty shoot-out.
Both Spurs players stepped up in what turned into a dramatic shoot-out.
The teams missed a penalty each as the first five penalties ended 4-4 to take the shoot-out into sudden death.
With the USA taking first, Cameron missed their eighth penalty to leave Milos the chance to take Serbia through - only to see his spot-kick saved.

If that doesn't sum us up in a nutshell, I dunno what does... even the Youth are Spursy!

Milos Veljokovic's Serbia have beaten Brazil 2-1 after extra time in the final.

He's now won the U19 and U20 tournaments with Serbia now I believe.

So how many of these little buggers realistically have the chance to be in our squad next season? As in "first XI", first 18, rest of squad?

Assuming that the transferwindow is a status quo as for senior players, minus 2-3 midfielders
