Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Sixty odd years ago Danny Blanchflower said. “It is about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.”

For the last few years, that message just fades away even more as each season goes by. It should have been written large and in bold on the manager’s office wall on the first day Conte arrived. Clearly it wasn’t, but if Levy does nothing else, he better make sure it’s there for next season’s new manager.

OK.

I know this will not be a popular opinion but; as with my view after the Chelsea game, I am going to say what I actually think rather than what will not upset the consensus.

I thought Spurs were a bit unlucky today.

Spurs were better than Wolves and should not have lost this game.

If one of the two Spurs attempts at goal, which hit the bar, goes in then Wolves need two to win.

The home crowd would have lost interest because they know better than anyone Wolves have been struggling to score one goal in any game.

Spurs would probably have gone on to pick Wolves off on the counter attack and racked up a respectable winning margin.

This is football.

Sometimes the luck is with you; sometimes it isn't.

Goals change games.

After 45 minutes I was as pleased with Spurs first half performance as I have been with any first half performance all season.

Spurs played their way through the midfield, pressed the Wolves defenders into errors and were in complete control of the game. We never looked under pressure.

The only constructive criticism I will offer is that Spurs failed to create enough clear cut chances despite hitting the crossbar twice and having a total of 8 attempts on target from our 22 attempts at goal.

If Spurs continue to play football, like they played in the first half today, I will be happier.

Liverpool will finish 4th anyway.

Spurs are now 33-1 to win the Champions League.

Gooners will blow the title. Xhaka cannot be a champion.

I want some of that. :wansum:

We had enough chances to win the game before half-time. As it is, we didn’t and whoever is in charge at Spurs was completely out-managed in the second half. Pretty obvious that the match-up with Adama was problematic— yet nothing gets done.

Why did we bring in Danjuma and send Gil out on loan if we’re not going to trust him with minutes if we need a goal with 10 minutes to play?

Can’t wait until this ‘management team’ (Mason aside) hit the road.

We’re so fucking weak that the opposition are now taking pity on us.

Today we had 4 minutes of stoppage time to save a point. In that 4 minutes we managed to get zero % possession. Give away 4 fouls. Conceded 3 corners and make Wolves look decent. Inept is not too strong a word.

We deserved to lose. End of. Gold does not challenge the club anywhere near enough.

That’s a presumptuous thinking we will actually beat Milan by 2 goals. We have scored zero v 2nd string SU side and v wolves who have only kept 2 clean sheets in last 15 games.
Agreed. It's going to be a grim week and we all know it. Dropped points in the league and out of both cups. But yeah let's all just keep bumbling along thinking shit will get better under this ownership and management

Romero is basically a simple Argie thug. Loves a lunge in from behind and over playing in defense.
He slows everything down to walking pace especially in first halves! Said it for ages I know oppo teams waste time by rolling over, play acting etc but we actually waste time when we have the ball! He keeps the ball and passes to someone next to him who he could have passed to like 5 minutes earlier!

Gold is an unofficial club stooge.

Isn't that obvious?

Family business today , missed it all . Came in to check scores . FFS ! We lost again , then to rub fucking salt into the wounds , see the goons come from two down to win in injury time . What a shit day , am I right in thinking we were shit again , anyone ? These fuckers will be the death of me

...which is why mentally 'opting out' of the Domestic Cups each year is so baffling!!

Those are Competitions we DO have a realistic chance of competing in... Not the CL.

2019 was a one off, once in a lifetime, never to be repeated freak
.... and we STILL blew it on the day!!

But NOOOOOO we're so superior to the little tinpot cups it's not worth bothering...

Yet Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Arse, Liverpool seem to 'bother' with those cups... and tend to do quite well at them when they try winning them!

Shame we can't see that!
How much do we earn from each stage of the CL. ?

Outstanding response from the humiliation from midweek. Really strong mentality surely we'll go on to great things for the remainder of the season.
Wonder what wiggys no2 will come up with this time.? Mentality, energy, tired, etc. ofc nu subs until after 70 mins then like fir like WBs sun then basically panic sub.

We were OK for two thirds of the game. Dominated the first half.

Wolves made changes to the team and the formation in the last half hour.

They scored a goal during their best spell in the game.

Spurs hit the bar twice during their best spell in the game.

The stats say Spurs were better and this was confirmed for me by the evidence of my own eyes.

Played a bit of football and pressed the Wolves defence into errors.

Porro had his best game for Spurs so far and gives me hope.

Skipp also looked composed and linked up the play. He did play the odd loose ball but overall it was another decent performance. I expected Wolves to boss the midfield. Skipp and Hojbjerg did well in my opinion.

I wasnt saying we'd beat Milan, just that we sacked off 2 very winnable games for a competition, that even if we beat Milan we have no chance of winning. For what its worth i think we'll go out Wednesday, nailed on 0-0. We've got seriously skewed priorities.
