The Bale talk is funny, Conte ain't taking no luxury player and giving him some special training programme purely to sit on the bench for the season, he doesn't work anywhere near hard enough off the ball for starters

I don’t know why he’s even being discussed, Bale simply doesn’t fit in to the profile or playing style of Conte, there is zero chance of him signing

International performance makes him interesting and we won't sell cheap

Using this logic for Bergwjin on Lo Celso and we have a very very valuable asset to sell...

He's a big lad but he's unfotunately also shite. He's literally been worse than Chris Wood for Burnley.

Caused us serious headaches when they beat us. That's how scouting works, isn't it?

If we are selling Winks and plan to loan out Tanganga, we need another club trained player on the squad list.

Bale won't need to do the same fitness work as the younger members of the squad and would likely have a specialist program.

With 5 subs next season, he could come on, set up a goal and sub off again if we are moving back to a defensive shape.

It's a no brainer. Do you want Winks, Tanganga or Bale in the squad?

Give him a 12 month contract. 5m base + another 5m based on targets.

Even at his age, he would get a goal or assist every over game.

Bale is less injury prone than Tanganga.
He's more of a team asset than both of them combined and multiplied by 10 quite frankly.

We definitely need to buy a 4th quality forward for rotation (of Son, Kane & Kulusevski) and to protect against injury.

But we actually need 6 forwards - lets assume Bergwijn leaves, so given HG constraints its Bale or nobody to get to a 25 man squad. And Conte has to choose between Moura and Bale for the last 20 minutes for some matches ......

Add in some youngsters such as Etete, Parrott and Scarlett being given the opportunity to train with and learn from Bale .....

Of course we don't need 6 fucking forwards.
You don't swap 3 for 3. You rotate your forward line. 1 in 1 out. 25 man squad, no more than 5 that play up top exclusively.

Remember the ex you always missed then you met years later and banger and it was nice but then you didn’t see one another for a while and the next time you met and banged it was awkward and unrewarding.

That’s how I feel about bringing Bale back NOW

I think the five subs and CL qualification changes that a bit…. I might be wrong but I can see logic in signing him

But it's not your ex. Its one of the best strikers of the ball in world football.

I'm not sure there is any other player I'd rather bring on with 20 mins to go and needing a goal.

Sure. We'd love a young top quality striker on the bench, but in this market it is hard to find someone who will sit and wait behind Son and Kane. Look at Bergjwin who is desperate to leave.

It looks like most of our transfer budget will go on the defence.

Can't he be both my ex and one of the best strikers of the ball in world football?

He needs to get fit but also to play matches. He'll never get match fitness if he joins us, at most it'll be 15 minute cameos.

Strongly disagreed.
We have 3 capable attackers.

They will not start every single game.

Out of form Bale can still provide 3x more than prime Moura. So he would get game time. He would not be a starter, but I would absolutely see him getting 1000-1200 minutes of football ahead of WC.

Some people would rather sign a player with no club or league experience. Another Soldado, or another Jansen. And watch as that individual does nothing week in week out.
