No it doesn't.
Not all homosexual men have been described as "poofs/puffs" - it has been a term used to describe effeminate gay men, even by gay men.
I think it's ridiculous that people will judge intent so easily. If you think that using the term "poof" instantly means that the person obviously suggests that all gay men are inferior and weak, then you need to broaden your horizons.
In the 90s, the schools were full of phrases like "Spaz", "Poof", and "Fanny". Guess what? It didn't mean that everyone was belittling the disabled, homosexual and women.
It does my tits in when people get out their brushes and start tarring people with labels based on ridiculous assumptions. I'm guessing that my nan was actually a male chauvinist for saying things like "don't be such a big girl"?
And that's before we get on to the fact that Aurier didn't say "faggot" nor actually use a homophobic slur, as it's just something invented by the English press for drama, and a bunch of people decide to show how superior they are by doing no research and deciding to audition for "gay rights activist of the year".
/Rant
Whatever word Aurier did/didn't use, he did say it in the context of Blanc sucking Ibrahimovic off, shaft & balls...or was that lost in translation too?
I'm not saying he is homophobic, but what he said was homophobic. Whatever the translation of the word, if you look at the surrounding context of it, I don't see how the homophobic nature of his comments isn't plain.
No doubt we've all said things that with the benefit of hindsight we wish we hadn't, but when it's laid down on a social media platform it's difficult to erase.
He was very stupid, he was punished & he says he's come here to re invent himself & show the world the real Serge Aurier. I'm happy with that, & reassured that Poch will headbutt him if he steps out of line.
