Can't read the article as I am not a subscriber.

I appauld our tight lipped approach to all things from Stadium to players (targets to existing) even though there are frustrations that we experience as we are all thirsty for Tottenham stuff. Our silence though always means that the press have the opportunity to make-up or twist a story knowing that The Club will not come out and confirm or deny.

A knock on consequence of the above silence is a very recent story running about Tottenham being the only club not happy with Steve Holland working in the England set-up whilst working for Chelsea. During this story Tottenham have been painted as being "anti-Chelsea", unreasonable and all round bad guys. When you join the dots its not hard to see why we are unhappy with Holland, given that not only is he Southgate's assistant (and will be for for the "big" job, he is still Eng U21 assistant manager!! Who the bad guys now?

Ditto, The Times and their paywall.

There seems to be a lot of bad blood with ourselves and Chelsea. Which strangely goes as far back as maybe the point Levy laughed off the suggestion of selling us to Abramovich. Then the way they took Arnesen from us and countless other failed transfers they 'took' from under our noses.

I am not sure if England will be training at Hotspur Way again if Holland is the assistant manager as he would very definitely get an insight into our internal coaching and operations. Surely it's a conflict of interest if he is still a Chelsea coach and assistant coach for England.

The Chelsea vs Tottenham thing is what gets the click's, big fan bases generate more clicks than Charlton vs QPR for example. We are operating and competing in the same space as each other which is why heads get banged, nothing more than that. There will be many more further down the line, it's the nature of a competitive game. No different than two ice cream vans fighting each other for a prime concession in a park on a summers day.

Hotspur Way is not an issue. The England team do not go near the First Team facilities. There are two separate areas, NO ONE can access the First Team side of the building, it has its own security etc.. The England team use the academy side of the building and also their pitches.

As for Holland, yes, its a conflict of interest and this is why we were unhappy about it. The feeling is that he will leave Chelsea and become Southgate's assistant, which we would have to concede would be OK.

Let's not forget that we had Chris Ramsey whilst he was also working for England (at least I think this was the case but oddly went to check the dates in wikipedia and his entire time at Spurs doesn't feature in his profile, odd).

Our youth are absolutely smashing it in the FA Youth Cup.

Sterling has got a hattrick and Tangana with the other. Currently 4-0 up. That Shashoua sounds like a right talent, one to watch for sure.

Any idea on when Edwards is back?

Apparently Holland is leaving Chelsea to take on the role full time under Southgate at the end of this season.
So, after May, no conflict of interests.
