I thought it was commendable that the podcast addressed the LGBT flag at White Hart Lane. Not because it needs a dramatic discussion but more because the ‘Lad Culture’ is very guilty of ignorant, intolerant and homophobic behaviour. Your voice and the voice of the podcast can influence people.

However I don’t think you are speaking with enough understanding. I felt, whilst there was an effort to be taken seriously, this were moments where it sounded like it was becoming an awkward issue for some of you and a few jokes drifted in. Perhaps the discussion would have benefited from insight within the LGBT community.

On the whole i regularly enjoy your podcast but the misogyny is getting a bit repetitive. I’m not saying the team need to suddenly become overly conservative but the fact you were drawing attention to the tone of some of the comments shows you are aware that its not really necessary to be quite so derogatory to women given none of you would talk that way to your own girlfriends or mums.

I do not intend to be overly critical because your insight into the football is excellent and I hope you continue to address the serious matters of life that find themselves woven into the fabric of our football club. Maybe just decide whether its a lad’s podcast about football or if you want to be taken more seriously.
