Every summer you go through the same emotion of anti-climax when Spurs unveil the new home/away shirts.

“What the frig is that yellow streak of p*ss doing there?”
“Red? Whaaa?!”
“It’s too plain”
“Is that a sash ffs!”

And so forth.

What can you do about it? Nothing. But you can do something about another shirt that is about to go into production the moment you get your creative juices flowing.

We of The Fighting Cock have partnered with Menace Sports – and American sportswear manufacturer with ties in England that have already kitted out a variety of US based teams ranging from hockey, college football and proper football. Check out their site menacesport.com (a football specific website is on its way too). They will create a Fighting Cock football shirt based on the winning design.

This will be no ordinary replica shirt either. The material will match the type used by professional players. Dry-fit shirts with all the trimmings, number, badge embedded into shirt using a sublimation method which will never fade or wash out (unlike the printed on ones you can find in any sports retailer). Any detail you want added, for example, inside of the back of the shirt where the usual label blurb sits you might want something written there or anywhere else on the shirt for that matter. No matter how small the detail, make sure you add it to your design.

Once we have all the entries, we’ll draw up the short list and you all get to vote. Democracy!

The winning shirt will then be produced for The Fighting Cock 5-a-side team and as a prize the winning designer of the chosen shirt gets one to cherish forever and ever (with name on the back if they so wish).

Use the following photoshop file (you need Photoshop!) to create your design. Feel free to use the various styles included or create a custom design of your own. All we ask is that you include our infamous white Fighting Cock on the shirt.

Things you need to know:

• The competition runs from Monday 21st May until Thursday 21st June.
• Then we’ll have a 2 week voting period to crown the winner.
• Only 1 entry per person.
• Entries must include shirt front & back.
• Up to you if you want v-neck, collar or whatever you fancy
• Include any additional info with your design if applicable (i.e. if you want the inside label to include some wording)
• Design needs to be saved as a .jpg file.
• Email your designs to [email protected]
• We will contact the winner to finalise any small design details.
